Oh I dunno, cheesy fanfic story about how he just happens to be Heihachi's super duper long lost son, just happens to be high tier, just happens to be the new main hero after Jin went evil, just happens to get amnesia (John Vattic and Conrad Hart did it a lot better), just happens to find a robot girl who helps him out up to the point she turns against him, just happens to be strong enough to defeat a godlike monster and just happens to speak only Japanese despite being Swedish in a series good about nationalities speaking their native tongues (Even in that Naruto game if the voices are in English he still only speaks Japanese because ZOMG KAWAII DESU NEEEEE)

but hey thats good written right i just have too much (or too little) taste.

Yyyeaaah I'm pro Lars because I like his fighting style, but come on. He IS 140% fanfic material. Secret son of Heihachi (just because !) who comes back several decades later for no good reason, stupid impossible anime hair, robot girlfriend, instant strongest, everybody loves him (though the language bit is exaggerated, I know Tekken has paid attention to it lately, but who the hell would speak Swedish, and remember, THE GAME IS MADE IN JAPAN, it's not weird FOR THEM, they probably didn't even realize people in the West would get mad at it). If he were a girl he'd be the worst canon Mary Sue in a while.
That said, it'd be pretty easy to make him lovable. A fucking haircut, make his lineage completely irrelevant to the story, that'd be a decent start.

Fuck Lars, Cammy, Kula, Felicia, Hawkeye, Ingrid, Blanka, Ash, Urien, Skarlet, Firebrand and Shuma Gorath. All are absolutely awful character designs, boring, lack flavor, or just generic and stupid. Hawkeye, Blanka, Firebrand and Shuma i hate only because of fighting style. Shit, add Sentinel to that group too
