Does Mugen 1.1 support semi-transparent edges? (Read 1303 times)

Does Mugen 1.1 support semi-transparent edges?

I always thought that Mugen 1.1 would support soft edges with semi-transparent pixels. I even created lifebars using images with soft edges. But now, I tried to use sprites like that in an explod and Mugen removed the semi-transparency completely during gameplay. I tried to replace any character sprites with soft-edge-sprites, but it never worked. Am I doing something wrong or does Mugen 1.1 only support soft edges in lifebar graphics and I got that wrong the whole time?

Yes it does, I use them for stages.

Your character will need to be set to version 1.1 and you’ll need to use SFFv2.1. Additionally, you’ll need to use 24-bit PNG’s.

So I can't use 32-bit png's with semi-transparent edges?

It supports 32 too,but using non indexed images on a char is just a silly idea,you are making it easier for mugen to crash.

I tried to use 32 bit sprites in an explod, but it gets displayed without the semi-transparency in-game. So I doubted that Mugen supports 32-bit...
