So i wanna use Jean Bureau's Port Sunset stage but it lags on Mugen 1.1 when i use any resolution higher then 640x480.

I use 1600x900 for my mugen and i dont have lag on ANY of the stages i have (about 130 stages) except this one.

In all honesty this is actualy the case with alot of Jean Bureau's Stages. They lag on 16:9 resolutions.

Any solutions to this? Do i have to change a code part or remove some heavy sprites?

Thanks in Advance!

Oh some more info, it isnt because i use 1600x900 because 1280x720 has lag with his stages too. Not ALL his stages but his more heavy/realistic looking stages do.

From experience, what annoyingly brings down FPS is anything that has to do with transparency.
I use it a lot because of my graphic style you could say, where light is very important for the overall feel.

Port sunset is an old stage and the older my stages are, the less optimised. (looking back at the code for you, that stage is terrible lol... )

I would say remove this:

[BG soleil]
type = anim
actionno = 2
start = 0,200
mask = 1
layerno = 1
delta = 1,1
[Begin Action 2]
5,0,0,0,1,,AS170D255
5,0,0,0,1,,AS150D255

[BG Tint orange]
type        = normal
spriteno    = 99,0
start       = 0,100
delta       = 0,0
layerno    = 1
Trans       = addalpha
Alpha       = 40, 250

Thanks! This worked!

Its finallly playable!

theres still a TINY dip in FPS but its not unplayable anymore.

That nice glare from the sun is gone but i think its well worth the price and its still not bad.

Thanks Jean! Keep making awesome stages! <3
