he have some bugs (i hope u don't find it ^^ lol)

i know most of the bugs

in the next release more bugs fixes and the other stances....

Most of us were waiting on this character,and altough he might need some more work(if not,why was it a beta :P),he play pretty solid...no big complaints for now,he comboes pretty well

It plays just like pots' shin gouki...that pretty much sums up the beta.

The special fx are different.

The new moves are rather underwhelming.

The stance looks awful.  A proper stance is not moving parts of a single image by 1-2 pixels.

Hes right, he just doesnt do enough damage for a "God" Character, I think he has the same health as Shin Gouki by POTS, Still a Cool/ Fun edit!

woa man this is one hella of a character i like playing with it. (basically becuz he plays like P.O.T.S. ShinGouki,  ;D) but man u can feel the power of Orochi from him! is a nice char! keep up the good work!

the sprites need to be cleaned up a little more and the shading, too. Overall, it's a very good addition to the ubers.

in his cns the dmg is the half
he is making 50% of damage...

edit his cns for proper damage ^^

He's used stuff from others with authorization (mainly POTS, since it's only a modification). There's an "over 20 pages" topic in the WIP section about it. :-X

  • The charge ROAR is the worst thing thing in this edit, but I don't like the all-purple superpause fx either.
  • The most fun I had was going against Kung Fu Man in Arcade, trying to use Gouki's ability to air-jump after a basic hit to stay up in the air as long as possible. All in all, not very exciting. ^_^
  • His alternate Shouryuken cannot be cancelled once he's up in the air. Since it does exactly as much damage, why would the player use it over a normal Shouryuken which can be cancelled at any time? What's the purpose of this move?!?!
  • Are there any other moves you added apart from the alternate Shouryuken and the 20 hit Orochi super attack? This download clearly lacks a movelist. >:

There is a Vajra Slash that is not very useful if your opponent is always jumping.
There is also a life-draining move. I don't know what is the name of it.

I suppose this is the D,D,D,2K move which was already in POTS' version and which IS very useful when you know how to use it. --;

Love it, although one of the two new attacks I found, the new punch or whatever makes the opponent freeze in the air, giving me time to power up about 1 and a half energy bars. You should probably fix that in the next release. Comparing it with other super CVS Akumas that first come to my head: (haven't tried Rare Akuma yet, so he dosen't count) Holy Akuma and Orochi Akuma, (I know Plaza used his sprites but...) you see the reason why people are better off editing an existing character for their first, rather than starting from scratch. However starting from scratch or should I say Kung Fu Man, (GTFO Shazzo and your stupid Axel) and then continually improving it by looking at other codes from other chars and posted online ones is a better way to learn, however a much slower way to make a playable character. Just play Holy Akuma to see why; the creator should really take a look at POTS' Shin Gouki's command file for great success.

Umm btw work on the intros a little, like Akuma talks in the one he Misogis down before he's even on screen, although this could be on purpose. And the other one with Mizuchi looks a little rushed, maybe in the next release that can be fixed. Oh also please don't tell me you were 'forced' to release so it's not your fault. I'm just giving contrustive critisim so you know what to fix for a later release, maybe one where you're convinced to relase before you're ready.  ;) Maybe you should also think of adding in one of the original intros as well, like one of the short simple ones, and maybe just add lightning or something. (To any haters of the excessive lightnining GB2 your SF1 'classic' characters.)

A guy named #Shaun comes to mind  :sugoi:

Looking at the stance in the pics it looks like this is Orochi Akuma with some helpers thrown in to spruce up his stance.  I'll download him and try him out anyway - my hypothesis of this char being a rip-off may be proven wrong.

D, DF, F, D, DF, F, K = Bright Lightning

For a level 1 Super Special, this move does too much damage. It's almost as strong as the Shun Goku Satsu.

His AI is ok. Although P.o.t.s old version of Shin Gouki is much tougher.

Gameplay-wise, he plays just like P.o.t.s. Shin Gouki. Yeah, he has some new moves, but I just can't see my self using any of them.

Even for a beta, this thing feels a bit underwhelming. Way too similar to PotS's Shin Akuma/Orochi Akuma by JDeuce, and Bright Lighting is way too abusable.

I won't lie though: There still is potential, just hasn't completely reached it yet. I as well was expecting different

So, a good Akuma edit.
Speed is alright and for a boss and combo-ability ok for me.
I find special the Orochi move qcfx2+k, why not try an akuma move lmike his ragin daemon (x,x,f,a,z).

I was looking forward to this release. He does have a few things to work out for sure, but I think he's pretty good for a Beta. I asked this over at MI, but I'll ask here as well. I'm trying to figure out how to change his stance, since he apparently has 3 to choose from. I'm not really familiar with how to do this, so any help would be appreciated. :)

Edit: I may have answered my own question when I browsed through this topic and the W.I.P. one. I'm assuming that this Beta release only has the 1st stance implemented. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

ok played him a lil he is over all not bad hoping for a lil more but its only a beta and i understand that his AI is not to bad i dont really have nothin to bad to say because he is a Beta and most things are covered....and i couldnt find his other stances if there there i dont think they are lol but over all good work cant wait to seen a updated version or the finished product keep it up  :-\

- Stance doesn't share the same shading style as the rest of the sprites (shading is clearer).

- F,B,F+z lacks some effects on the ground.

In all honesty, I can't say this is a bad character, since it's mostly based (not to say "entirely based") on my favorite character. Since you've mostly added some comboability and changed some damage, you haven't totally broken the character, so he still plays like POTS' version, hence he plays well.
I don't really like all these purple effects (some of them having broken colors), but it's a good thing you haven't abused them SO much.

Use nude torso at all the sprite and on the back insert orochi symbol  and when he finished shun goku satsu or win pose use light effect on symbol...

- on shun goku satsu use electric sparks effect (Like androide's god rugal, when at the shun goku satsu shows omega skulls)
- add a powerful hadouken like Pots Evil Ryu
- Change gouki sprite when he made orochi light super (i don't remember the name!  :P)
- add a faster ashura senkuu with dissolving effect like violent ken

am having a problem with his drain evergy move... everytime i grab a char from my roster 80% of the time he freezes in mid air and no drain occurs.... then he cant move for like 10 secs untill the battle can continue!!!

wheres a move list for god akuma, i think u should make one if one doesnt allrdy excist.

i didnt think most of his moves where powerfull enough... i put him against regular pots shin akuma and to be honest pots shin akuma totally kicked his ass without breaking a sweat, considering this is meant to be stronger char i upped his health and powers until a decent ai that can beat pots shin akuma is created.

it can't be cancelled when u do it whiout the first shoriuken (F,D,F + any punch) the idea is cancel normal shoryuken whit reverse shoryuken and cancel reverse shoryuken whit any special

You could make the reverse shoryuken doable only as a "continuity" to the normal one, and not as a special move stand-alone (it has very less utility as it is), and lower the damage for balance purpose (keep in mind that is unblockable one the first shoryuken connects).

I experienced a noticeable slow-down when doing the Tenma Gou Zankuu Kouu super (the lv.2 one), since pots' gouki has the same move and it doesn't slow anything I think it's a bug in your char  :P

that , i can't find the bug there... the code is the same of pots , i didn't edit that move... i don't know why  that move slow down a bit the game..

i go to release (official release) of God Akuma whit more comboability

whit 0 bugs and a new stance (and new effects, still working on new shungoku satsu....  and maybe a couple of new effects on the misogi :-\)

this 2nd beta is a big improvement, 1st beta had to many bugs when fighting most of the chars in my roster but am glad u listened to ur fans again and fixed them up gd, drain evergy move super is working like a treat now, no glitch with it what so ever now,but as i said still looking to see this new ai and see what he can do against the original shin akuma edit by pots, that wil be god akumas true test.

Some little things were fixed, but looking at my own feedback, I REPEAT, will the real slim shady please stand up ? I THINK WE HAVE A PROBLEM HERE :

- Why in hell did you define a new command for your new "especial" with 2xQCF+K whereas this command already existed ? Plus, you defined it without implementing negative edge.
- No negative edge for F,B,F+x nor F,B,F+a nor F,B,F+z.
- Big portrait is misaligned by one pixel.
- Stance doesn't share the same shading style as the rest of the sprites (shading is clearer).
- During stance, Gouki's hands move whereas the flames don't. It looks lame.
- Small portrait has some weird colors.
- CLSN on F,B,F+z is the same as the walk one. WTF ?!
- Nice infinite priority on F,B,F+a and F,B,F+x.
...
I didn't test again all the stuff I already mentionned, since not even the half of it was fixed. :(

- Small portrait is misaligned by one pixel.
- Background FX for Orochi move is nice now... but that's one of the only things I noticed you fixed...
