Anyone else been watching this fantastic show?? The writing is wicked sharp and witty with a ton of references thrown in for good measure. It's currently on Adult Swim on Mondays at 10:30. Totally worth a shot if you haven't seen it already.Check out the IMDB page if you have no clue what I'm talking about.
hmmm...i trust adult swim when it comes to the funnies...so yea...ill check it this monday coming up. hopefully ill have a blunt during that time. and right b4 the gym.
Its one of the best things currently on. I also suggest gravity falls, while the humour isnt in the same tone, its hilarious as well.
The fusion of so many different story elements and twists (The Jellybean Man scene from below had me in tears) are so well done and refreshing, you wish every new show was this good. This is my favorite. Meeseeks and Destroy: http://www.mediamavrick.com/mediamavrick/mmvideos/ram5.htmlThe writing is very well done and I cannot help but think of Doctor Emmet Brown's zaniness every time I watch this (Which was inspiration alongside of Dr. Who).
Its written by Dan Harmon from community. Just dont search for the pilot, contrary to most things he did, the pilot is actually horrible.

It just had a slower pace and less going on. It had it's moments, especially within that chase scene in the space/dimensional airport.drewski90 said, March 09, 2014, 02:02:03 amalso episode 2's a parody of a nightmare on elm streetI just saw bits and pieces of that one. That episode is fucking clever. I love how Freddy's knockoff keeps on saying BITCH with just about every sentence he forms. This episode is where Rick and Morty kicks into high gear. Meeseeks and Destroy is still my top favorite, but that may change after I catch up on the last eposide I have left to see in full, which is this one (Lawnmower Dog).

Ah that's right. It was something along the same name but slightly altered. What was that called again??This reference reminds me of Larry and Steve, Seth McFarlane's precursor to Peter and Brian of Family Guy fame. That single episode was actually hilarious.
which brings me to the question, what does everyone know about rob paulsen? That's the question I've always wanted to ask everyone
I watched the latest episode on Youtube a couple of days ago when someone linked to its ending on /v/. It was great, but apparently Adult Swim took down the other episodes from Youtube? They still had episodes 1 and 2 on their own website.
Zingo said, March 10, 2014, 02:57:17 pmThanks for letting me know about this show, I like it!I'm glad you do. The show is certainly great. San2 said, March 10, 2014, 03:01:48 pmAdult Swim took down the other episodes from Youtube? If you do a little Google magic, you could find them for download (I have all of the aired ones on my phone). I will say though, Adult Swim/Cartoon Network deserves the attention. I feel that they have come a long way recently because they have a lot of fantastic and original content. Regular Show is awesome and so is Steven Universe. I'll gladly watch stuff as it airs along with my DVR.Don't forget!! A new Rick and Morty premiers tonight at 10:30!!
I fucking love this show lmao. It's probably the funniest thing on adult swim in my opinion. The way they always stumble over their words when they talk it's hilarious! The various references are funny too. The thing that scares me though is that I feel like it won't last too long. But I'm excited for the new episode tonight!
started watching this yesterdays and it is fucking hilarious love the part when morty almost got rape by a jellybean
Bumping because we got a new season on July 26th!!Check out the Simpsons couch gag cross over airing tonight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ecYoSvGO60

I'm a huge ass fan of this show too, it's so damn funny lmao. It's pretty cool how they crossed over like that, even added in a few futurama references. I think the Simpsons should just retire now though, it's been milked the longest, more than any video game and any other tv show or movie series. It's not even funny anymore tbh, at least not to me. Shows like South Park, Rick and morty, and a few others, those are the future, they're funny and entertaining as hell.
That was awesome! Oh wow, @Suave 6-year old "I think the Simpsons should just retire now though" never have I heard anyone say this about The Simpsons.
so i started this show last week and i just catched upHOLY FUCK! THAT CLIFFHANGER ENDING!!!how will we survive this upcoming 18 months before season 3? well for one part there's doctor who... and a LOT of vodka.
Here's hoping South Park can last me until the new season of Rick and morty </3 this show is so freaking funny and amazing.
Yup that last episode was amazing cant wait for season 3Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyRip Birdperson
let us not forget the most exciting part of this season finale:Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyjerry finally got a job!
Even though he was only in like... 2 episodes I think Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyr.i.p birdperson </3
he was actually in 3 episodes:Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty- the party at the end of season 1 where he meets tammy (tammy was her name, right?)- the one with the big giant head after morty steals rick's portal gun he ends up in his planet- the season 2 finaleRIP birdperson. it was brief but we'll never forget you
Do you guys watch Rick And Morty?I just love the series. It kind of reminds me of a mix between "Back to the Future", "Beavis & Butthead" & "Southpark" which is really nice.So I did this for fun today (all hand drawn with a brush)http://imgur.com/gallery/S6K26DD/new
It's earlier in this thread IIRC, but I'm sure he's mostly blocking the SJW's that got super butthurt (excuse me, TRIGGERED) when he made some jokes and started constantly harassing him.
that was justin roiland. dan is just lashing out on people... because they didn't like his pitch for the hip hop industry?idk read the rest of his cringeworthy tweets.
yeah scrolling through his timeline holy fucking shit he's a douchesome twitter rando answering to dan harmon's dogshit hiphop song idea said:Uhhhh ok? I guess you're drunker than expected. That's ok.But this isn't that great of an idea?harmon said:Ah, here he is. "Bird Person." He can't pick a name until someone writes free TV for him but he's got..wis..dom...? What was the goal here. To provoke shame. To censure. To chasten. To mitigate. Is that fun? Okay. My turn! Fun time! You are a worthless but necessary byproduct of an evolutionary strategy summarizable as "no wrong answers." You embody human failure. WAY TOO MUCH societal energy is focused on compensating for the phenomenon you represent. A silent but effective minority of your species has spent a lifetime tolerating your section of its bell curve. I don't know your name and never will. Which is why you feel "entitled" to heckle, judge, criticize, etc. But you have no idea what I could do to you the day I took forty seconds to create one anonymous account. I have spent my life online, under my birth name, accountable, in service to approval. You have done nothing. And you have done it for nothing. You've done it invisibly. In SPITE of your every effort. You are my permission to hate. You're the 85%. You're gravel. Your pistons are generic fears. I reject this unspoken but transparent request to live in your fake sad world. I will fuck your bland face with joy. I won't see your responses, and will forget you. You'll merge with the plaster and will never have been born. But the saddest, craziest thing is...you spent your existence lying, and asking others to lie. Good luck topping today, fuck nut. Good luck approaching base level effectiveness now that you've burnt my attention. All of this is what I genuinely feel about folks like you, but withhold. Because I'm fucking polite.i'm trying to imagine someone from this forum making a post like this and i know for a fact they would be endlessly ridiculed
Don't get me wrong guys, I have no idea what the problem is with him (as I haven't followed anything what he had said or what the drama is all about), BUT, if he is an asshole, because of the post Titlin quoted, I don't understand you guys calling him a "douche".Modern society/ human psyche shows all its flaws and insecurities online. It is always easy to criticize, especially anonymously. People attack people for the sake of their entertainment, for the lack of their own ability to create, for the need to become somehow relevant. Everything is either fucking great or sucks. Everybody is entitled to have an opinion, but I think not every opinion is worth mentioning. But by stating own's opinion online, one becomes somehow relevant, at least that is what seems to be the consensus on social media. The ice cream didn't taste that good, better go online and start a bullshit storm and write about how I hated the taste of it and how company x sucks ass. Lets make the world spin around me for a moment. So much energy is wasted for nothing. As a result, I do think Dan Harmon's post is somehow very true & reasonable in its own way.
Yeah, now that I look closer, I see that people can be what ever they be online. Either it's because of themselves or other people forcing them to be THAT person.
HQ said, October 21, 2015, 10:10:36 amDon't get me wrong guys, I have no idea what the problem is with him (as I haven't followed anything what he had said or what the drama is all about)Dan Harmon is a frequently vindictive asshole with exeedingly poor impulse control, and also has major alcohol problems. And I say that as a huge fan of him and his work! He's got a lot of problems, and while he's been doing a little bit better lately, it's all relative to his past behavior. He still sabotages himself and does dumb things like this Twitter thing.
HQ said, October 21, 2015, 10:10:36 amSo much energy is wasted for nothing.this is a key point about why harmon's a douche, it was just some random shithead telling him his bad idea was bad. the energy wasted by "bird person" (typing up one short tweet) snowballed into a 6 hour twitter meltdown from harmon that everybody made fun of. how's that for a waste of energy. there are hundreds of ways to handle anonymous twitter criticism and this sure as fuck isn't one of themif he just replied "Well who gives a shit what you think" and left it at that nobody would've cared
this article is saying that he lashed out because he was already pissed off about the sixith season of community which was a major flop that cost yahoo 42 millions dollars.
Don't link to Breitbart.that Hollywood Reporter one, huh. Community was the only show that Yahoo was actively pursuing to renew, and it didn't get far because they'd have to renegotiate contracts with the actors, and also because the last episode of Community's sixth season was literally all about how there shouldn't be another season (because the show was going to grow stagnant and it wouldn't be fair to the characters to trap them in the community college setting for 7 years, spinning in place). Moreover, the viewer numbers for Community were higher than expected. THR is careful to say that all of Yahoo's shows combined lost $42 million, but I don't think they're being tricky here. I think Yahoo expected Community to overall be a loss leader, but they were OK with that; they were trying to launch a brand new streaming platform and needed a dedicated following to jump start it. Unfortunately for them, their other shows also underperformed (but to a much more massive extent); combined with their inability to get another season of Community going, their strategy failed.
i agree, it's not fair to blame the show. it's just that yahoo can't compete with netflix and hulu, especially with it's small library of shows. fans are more likely to wait for the dvds rather than pay a subscription to a service they'll only use once. if the show was renewed on netflix and hulu, it's would've probably been more successful yeah.
Funnily enough, Yahoo's streaming service was free to use (with ads, of course). The video player was pretty terrible, though!but yeah, everyone is trying to roll out a streaming service to compete with Netflix and Hulu and it just seems like a terrible, terrible idea. Sony's got their PlayStationTV thing, Google just announced a subscription service for YouTube, I think Microsoft is still planning theirs, and there's more that I can't remember. I guess Amazon is doing OK, but they're still pretty small compared to the other two; and the pie just isn't big enough for anyone else.
