One small fix, I noticed that these frames looked kind of bad when in motion so I fixed the hair. He's being worked on right now by varo hades. I think it is safe to say he will be released this year:

Recently picked back up this project & have made significant progress. Gouken should be ready for an alpha release in the next few months. Here is a small teaser of the latest sprites, but still need some tweaking. I would say that i'm about 50% done with making the sprites look this way. I'll admit I chickened out on making the top half of his Gi, but I also feel that with this style he looks more SF2'ish.
Cool man, looks nice. Got any more sprites of him? I remember when I gave him sandals, I had to do it all from scratch. I couldn't find any SF2 Akuma sprites so just tried to use the same colors.Honestly, I prefer that gi to the one he has in SF4. He looks too much like Zeus with the other one. He looks more Shotokan with both sleeveless sleeves :p
Sure man here is a few more sprites, but still need tweaking for hair and other little things. Gohadoken & Senkugoshoha. Scraped the sandals because he doesn't wear them in SF4.
@ SiL3Nt J yeah I miss the chanclas too but the sprites look awesome so that is a small loss.@ electro is this the shen long you were talking about, I hope you were also doing the one with shoulder tats and head band too, the april fools one, because there hasn't been a good one of those yet
Dude... you are absurdly capable with the terms of fidelity to the source, they are going to be perfect characters for sure.
