The super works pretty well in its current state. Hopefully you'll be able to rip with the real animations in 2D pretty soon.

Any plans to add Revenge meter ?

Any plans to add Revenge meter ?
Revenge meter and lifebar power bar will be added and will probably use a similar system as Juri.

I also explain the plan for implementation of ultras. It will involve a bunch of bg and fg hiding along with scaling. It is on the first post.

It looks like you're going with an idea somewhat similar to the one I suggested. Are you planning to leave the opponent out of those shots altogether?

I added a 2nd demonstration video to the first post so you can see how his ultra 1 combo looks like at its current state.

It seems acceptable to me. I might have to disable the foreground elements.

I may also consider using a white background because it's more of a "good" shoryuken.

Ah, I hadn't seen the link (I thought you were referring to the still screens originally).

It works pretty well! (for spinal, at least).

I would adjust the movement upward so that it's a little bit faster (also, so that the opponent flies a bit higher as well), but that's just nit-picking.

Unfortunately what I thought would be much easier turned out to be much harder. The mod that turned off effects masks the lightning effect and turns it into a black screen that obstructs the player, making ripping Ultra 2 Impossible for now.

I must now research methods to mitigate this effect.

You can now try the version that includes his ultra 1.

Unfortunately there is no revenge meter system yet so this means that you can use it, wherever and whenever you feel like it, so please use responsibly  ;). If you have difficulty pressing all 3 buttons during the motion, you can also activate it by pressing start -> qcf qcf start.

Let me know if the zoom-ins need fixing: position adjusting, etc...

ARGHH!! Forgot to apply ceiling to the damage!! Ignore the "Expression truncated to integer" debug stuff. It will be fixed.

I think the zooming is too strong on the first hit, and a little too on the 2nd hit.
This can really be seen with Gouken VS Gouken, as you can easily compare sizes.
Position for custom states feel fine and everything else is on spot.

Also, when Gouken recovers at the end of the move, there's a darker tone on his head. Not sure you can do much about this.
When the stage comes back to screen, Gouken is falling down from the sky, but it really feels like he's not been falling for long, killing the effect of him going high in the sky. So yeah, maybe try to make him come back from higher.

Will you add background speed effect for the 3rd hit ? Really looks static as it is now. Some zooming lines FX on first two hits and vertical speed FX on the 3rd one would really make the whole attack more dynamic IMO, if you can find some good effects.

For the revenge bar, you can take Rolento's SF4 KFM code and FX if you want, he made it for that. :P

Finally, I noticed there's no turn animation. Are you planning to add one ?

Never thought of using Gouken vs Gouken to do sizes. I just picked kfm and adjusted until it looked the best.

The darker tone on his head is due to an effect that couldn't be removed, or at least I didn't know how to. It may also be because of the camera adjustments because the transition from landing to stand does look awkward if you look at his left foot.

Regarding falling from the sky, I was trying to emphasize the impact more than how high he jumped. That's why he has a slow, floaty fall.

Here was the original sprite video that i ripped from, needed resizing as well.



I will add the turn, its only 1 sprite I think.

Another update gives Gouken his complete moveset. The ultras have no limiters and can be used whenever you want so it is a bit broken as of now.

The turn sprites have not been ripped yet so please wait for those.

This is going to make my year seeing the master on his way to Mugen Near Us.  Are the demos only for 1.0? Got Statedef 0 errors on WinMugen. Hope there are both versions for the final update.

I added a few new screens that show selecting ultra choices as well as how the super ko bg looks like.

This character was designed for 1.0 but was constructed in a way that it should work on WinMugen (plus).

Unfortunately another demo is not ready at this time.

The next version is ready. This will probably be the last alpha version before the main release.
