I was going to comment on the fact that the stage didn't fit, but then I saw SeanAltly's comment. Nice promo video.1- On the select screen, only the clouds are animated. Any plans on making the building lights change during time, and add some lightning/thunder too ?2- VS screen is still a beta, obviously. What are your plans for this one ?3- I guess the guard bar wasn't coded yet, as I don't see it move during the fight. How will it act, I can't remember ? A sort of guardcrush bar, isn't it ?4- Concerning the portraits during the fight, any plans on using custom high-res portraits, as many people do nowadays (KOFXI, MB, CVS, etc.) ?Good luck with everything.
3- I guess the guard bar wasn't coded yet, as I don't see it move during the fight. How will it act, I can't remember ? A sort of guardcrush bar, isn't it ?yeah its fully coded and everything thanks to syn's help on it, it just takes more than afew guards to break, i might change it to half of what it is, since right now a normal amount of blocking is possible during the match4- Concerning the portraits during the fight, any plans on using custom high-res portraits, as many people do nowadays (KOFXI, MB, CVS, etc.) ?currently we have no plans to use portraits during the fights, unless people want em there tht isGood luck with everything. thanks
***Newest Video***Moses Maddigan vs. Fray, with updated screenpack and music.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMYcLmeAKo0The stage is one I made, called "Chase the Express." It is in Watch mode, so you'll be able to see Kamekaze's AI in action.Expect more of these since I finally have the ability to make videos again!
Brand new video. This time it's the Logo Screen and the Intro for the game. Be sure to read the video's info!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b-_IQaoBQ8
Nice, the intro gives some storyline to the game.Could be nice making one slide or two showing Kane Kelly freeing other people from the project, or will you develop that in the various intros and endings for each character ?
Well, the endings are already done for everybody, and they all deal with what happens directly after defeating Moses Maddigan. I don't have intros for each character, and I don't really plan to. I may add a new slide or block of text to the intro, but basically all Kane did was press a button that lowers the tubes and releases everyone else. It's cool to see someone actually sees this stuff!
Yeah, they're just preview videos. I can't figure out how to do it on my girlfriend's laptop (which is where I make the videos), and I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
This video, which DemonicKirishima made on his own, revolves around my character Thirteen, with a cameo appearance by Snow. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGgk4VSoVc4It pretty much blew my mind.
I got permission/blessing from Sean Altly to make this topic beforehand.I made a video of my favorite Shades of Manhattan characters...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_diof2e-8Jk...for a Favorite Fiction Blog entry I made here: http://mmcelhaney-fiction.blogspot.com/2011/02/mugen-preview-shades-of-manhattan-2.html...in case there might be some people that do not know about his work (people that read the blog that don't come to MFG)
I recorded and uploaded the SHADEs of Manhattan 2 intro to Youtube. Check it out and let me know what you think, either here or on Youtube.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH5ka33xBlcIt took me quite a bit of time to make and I'm pretty proud of it. Anyway, enjoy.
Really awesome, except for one thing. The dialogue feels a little amateur as just text at the bottom.I think it would help a lot if you got the voice actors to say the lines or if you put the lines in speech bubbles.Sound effects for transitions and stuff might work too.

Dunno why, but it reminds me of the intro's you used to get on Amiga games.. very cool. In fact, I'm pretty hyped for the final game when it arrives.
Intro at time 0'33 : "He heard their dying thoughts".Song : Muse - Thoughts of a Dying Atheist.I see what you did there ! Anyway, nice intro, I like it.
It's awesome to see you're making it happen Sean, really. It's awesome that it feels fresh, a well self-contained universe, cohesive art ... I love everything, congratulations.
That was pretty impressive dude, the ending was my favorite. And may I know if there are still available slots for a voice actor?
I love it! Reminds me of the old school arcade intro screens and fits the mood of the game really well.
Good intro Though I have been lokking at ths threads of SHades for few weeks now i want to know if You have SHADES 1
SHADEs 1 is right below the SHADEs 2 download at www.shadesofmanhattan.com. I will warn you that while I was proud of it when I first released it in 2008, it's really not very good, especially compared to SHADEs 2. If I were you I'd mess around with it a bit, maybe beat the game with a few key characters whose endings are canon or contain vital info ( Fray, Sabotage, Zenith, Bloodtide ), just to get caught up for SHADEs 2.
