as usual, there's no AI, it's all leftover stuff from King, so if the AI actually uses this character, shit will break. Also haven't gotten around to extracting any of the submitted palettes yet, so the selection is pretty limited.

Now, let's talk about Daimon. I haven't quite finished all the interactions he'll be doing (the final version will react to what Kyo and Benimaru are doing, as in CvS2), but right now he stands (stoically) and that's all that's needed for the beta. I have included a configuration file in Benimaru's folder that will let you pick whether Daimon should appear on every stage, or only on "supported stages" (more on that in a bit). There are also options to set Daimon's default location, delta value, and size. Additionally, there is a way to add new stages to the list of ones he's compatible with, which can all have unique values for the location, size, et. al., by manually adding the name and author name of the stage in question, and then modifying the values until things look right. Right now, I only have 2 supported stages, but I hope everyone can pitch in and grow that list! Just ask me if you have any questions! :)

also, if you notice that Benimaru doesn't do his kissy intro when he faces off against a lady, tell me and I'll add them to the list. Just don't be gross; I don't want Benimaru blowing kisses at 9 year olds, or whatever!!!

I feel MAX Raikoken should have a diagonal variant (like Lv1 Raikoken does) for one of the 2P combinations, maybe like x+z or y+z?  It's your call, of course.

And no kiss for Divinewolf's Poison?

Had to look up Rouge.  Didn't know she was a Capcom character . . . but I was amused to see him react to Rouge the Bat by MugenHunter XD

I made a quick update because I forgot to add something for the Daimon config stuff. You can also choose individual stages that you don't want to Daimon to appear on, whether it be because of atmospheric/tone reasons, or because there's no room for him to hang out somewhere, or what have you. Please help out by contributing, if you're interested!

ALSO, an additional note: EX Benimaru Collider sends the oppponent into a collapse state, where they can be hit again before they fall to the ground. It would be a natural fit for the relatively common 5950 (cheap KO) animation, but unfortunately, there's no way to guarantee the opponent's 5950 animation has hitboxes. So most characters will play a custom state animation made out of their required gethits in lieu of a collapse animation; however, characters with 5955 will play their collapse anim, cuz the whole point of that anim was to have an animation just like 5950, but with guaranteed hitboxes. So if your character has a 5950, you can just make a copy of it, change the copy's animation ID to 5955, and add hitboxes, and you'll be good to go! All of my characters since Ryo have a collapse anim, and I'll be adding them to the older ones when I get around to updating them. It's a relatively minor visual tweak, but it looks way better!

- eh, he never had one in KOF so I didn't really want to give him one here.
 - the list of triggers I used is derived from JZ's list, and I didn't really bother trying to add anyone new (I did however prune the list to try to remove anyone underage; I don't want Benimaru to be a pedo :tough:), cuz that's boring; I have now added Poison, though!

Seems odd that Flying Drill has no height restriction. If the move is done immediately after a jump, it never becomes active because he lands instantly.

this didn't turn out the way I had hoped :-\

Seems odd that Flying Drill has no height restriction. If the move is done immediately after a jump, it never becomes active because he lands instantly.
I was trying to match KOF (where it can be done right above the ground), but I guess I went too far; it's supposed to be active for at least one frame.

Can you make Daimon compatible with stages that have background fog, like Judgement Hall (can't remember the creators of that stage)?
I'm not actually sure without seeing the stage; I haven't touched anything to do with stages in all my time with MUGEN!
