I believe the best way to avoid overpopulation is encouraging homosexuality. We'll have to get rid of most organized religions and ban the use of homophobic slurs, but it would be worth the job.

I was talking about this with my sis & mom yesterday. Actually, around 80% of vasectomies are reversible (and they don't affect you horomonally), so... mandatory vasectomy upon birth?

There is yet another thing with abortion; religion. I can understand that religious people believe god sends a soul to inhabit the embryo as soon as sperm meets egg, and thus that individual is automatically a human being. I do not believe in that.
