Can't say I actually made anything CvS style, or at least strictly using the ruleset. Studied CPS2 era work before, and working on something in the style to more effectively internalize the concepts learned. Broly could be considered something along the same lines.
One thing about Hugo is right. He faces his enemy more than Broly stance, It wpould make him easier to ainimate if he were turned a little.
Hugo does tend to come off as a tad goofy looking when he attacks; actually looks a tad sloppy if anything.Diepod: Aside from maybe an additional transition frame or two depending, it's honestly not that difficult to transition to just about anything. I will admit that after not looking at it for a few days, it probably is a tad more stiff than I'd care for. A newer stance was never off the table, but I'd rather not completely throw this animation into the recycling bin. Wonder where I'll end up using it. Hah!
Meh. I don't think it makes sense to have Broly attack from the side like that, I think it would make sense for him to be facing him as said before.
Well, at least it won't be for a lack of effort; deciding to go change Broly's stance overall while it's still early enough not to cause too many problems. Will end up reusing the old stance elsewhere; thinking might work for an intro/winpose if not some sort of preliminary charging pose for something else.
Not directly related to Broly, but I decided that I haven't made a set of lifebars in ages so I began recreating Burst Limit's set just for the hell of it. As it stands, it uses it's own custom portrait to closer match the original version, although I did take some liberties with the extra icons and bars present. Life and power bars so far. Decided to extend the bar and actually simplify the dragon motif from the original. Sample version with custom portrait.

Power bars felt a tad too simplistic. Pity that screenpack related code within the standard engine is not complex enough to let that just be present when power is maxed out.[edit] Well now I feel silly; I had completely forgotten that Burst Limit's power bars actually had some electric currents running through them natively! Did get around to some other stuff as well.
If this is done in 1.0 you could use some PNG Alpha Transparency to get a decent outline on that FIGHT
Oh, the outline has been cleaned up since that image. Had to make a minor adjustment to the placement of the win icons though due to the fact they are not adjustable by mode as I recalled after the fact. Currently still below the lifebar, although in reality I probably could easily just stick it above and at the end. Hah.
