^Thanks.

So I ended up adding one more tree to the foreground because it looked kinda empty, but now that I know what to do with trees, it (and the far background trees) should be done in a snap. Could probably lower it, since it blocks the view, or if you want, you could do like Killer Instinct and make it transparent when the fighters pass by it (first one's probably more viable).

I also added more flowers and grass to the already done greenery. I think its good to go.

Since animals will also appear, I was thinking of spriting Japanese forest animals since, y'know, its a forest, and DBZ is Japanese; also to keep things interesting, so after a bit of research, here's what I came up with:

-Ussuri brown bear
-Japanese serow
-Golden speckled/Japanese quail
-Ural owl
-Ezo momongas
-Hokkaido red fox/red squirrels (I was thinking a group of them could walk on the new foreground tree at random intervals, but IDK if its possible in MUGEN)
-Ezo naki usagi
-Shima-enaga
-Sable

For the most part, I think all of em can be pulled off excellently. What do you think @Neocide: and @GLB:?

Sounds and looks fantastic! Animals would be a great idea, especially newly sprited like that will be totally fun for me to code in lol. The front layer trunk should be no problem whatsoever, if you want to lower it go ahead but if not I can just blackjack (trans) it like you said.

It has been a long time, eh?

I just only got to teh far BG trees (all I have are placeholder shapes in diff. colors and sizes w/o tree trunks atm). The trunk in the foreground is currently a placeholder until I can remember what brush I used to get the effect in the other trees.

This time around, I'll try to have it all ready and indexed by maybe this week or the next. Animals are going to be the final thing on the list. Unless if I'm missing something else.

Didn't even see this! Looking awesome! I can't remember if I asked but were you going to do falling leaves?

Also didn't think about it, but this stage could work well with alternate Season versions (Snow, falling leaves, rain etc)

Also it reminds me of hit and Goku's recent fight in super.

Lol you're so right. When I was watching that episode last week I was thinking of this very stage actually. Darken it, hue it more purple, mess with the contrast and you've basically got a DBSuper alt version! It's looking great to me so far, I'm really liking the wood work!

Okay, this time (and I can confidently say), I can finish this by this Sunday or next Monday, because I have an entire week to myself!

By either one of those two, I'll have everything indexed and separated and sent to GLB. Sorry it took me so long to get to this.

Let me know what you think so far!

Yeh, it makes the floor less flatter.

Alright, so here's a final look at the stage, with and without the purple tint (which was suggested by Neocide and chrono st.):

I'm going to separate and index everything tomorrow morning. Feel free to share any thoughts/criticism about the stage, or point out something I might have missed.

Holy shit, that is fantastic!

Did you ever get around to the props?

Also if we do a night version we should try a campfire off to the side.

This stage(s) are mega hype.
My only small teenie tiny fear,is if this stage and the others don't mesh together and we're forced to choose a style, which would end up being yours, but with not enough time that could be a dilemma.

I don't think we'll  come to that though (hopefully)

Marvelous job on this though, very proud of the work you put in!

^I condone this.

That is true. From what I can recall, the only stage I can see that doesn't mesh with it is Dying Namek, because of the sky and the ground (was still learning at the time). Seeing that I've learned a lot since that, I can remake both the sky and the ground to mesh with the aesthetic I gave Forest.

I'm not too sure about the other stages though.

I'm glad you are, I'm really proud of how far it came too.

Ah, yeah, I still haven't gotten around to those yet.

I recall that there was still the ray of shining light, I haven't done that one yet too, so I'll be working on that, the campfire, and the animals, and send em GLB's way.

Sounds good brotha.

I think aside from that all I have left at this moment is the final touches on Night Plains, Dying Namek, and Cell Games.

Okay, looking at these stages from my phone did not do these total justice.

I'm overly impressed, I would not mind waiting forever for each stage if we can get more like this,
They mesh extremely well with the sprites, I would probably go as far as saying better than the ones I made.

I would be perfectly fine waiting and dropping the stage count to get more quality like this. I can grab tons of scenery shots from the show, as I have the whole series in HD, and I don't mind going through and getting shots for reference when it turns out this product.
