I was wondering if it was at all possibile to rip sounds as they play on your screen (sorta).. now that I say that, it kinda doesn't make sense... But worth asking :D?

In audacity, not sure about goldwave, you can set the record input to be stereo. That allows you to record what comes through the speakers without needing it up really loud and a decent microphone.

Audacity is free. Google.

Goldwave may do the same, not sure though. You could try that too
