Yeah, this is going here cos i'm not willing to do more than one sprite

Which has quite the awesome KFM sprite. I was thinking it'd be nice if we all got together and did one or two sprites each. I know they're big but KFM isn't that heavy on the sff file. Would anyone else be interested in joining in on this?

End product is donating the .sff file to Elecbyte. Erm, perhaps we should confirm giving that to them as well. It'd be nice if the engine had a true HD custom character to go with the classic KFM.

Anyone else in?

You better want to join Warner first and ask him what's his thought about all this, because he's the one who did this sprite :

Iced then asked him if he would do all the sprites :
Well, i only did the stand set, i did this just for fun, because i didn´t like the filtered kfm elecbyte did. :-\ and i want to see how looks like a hires kfm.
In the stand animation i did he blink, that´s why he has the eyes open.

You redrawing the whole thing warner?
If so, you should send them to Elecbyte directly instead of releasing them afterwards.
They might include it on the next RC.

i haven´t planned to make all the sprites, but that is not a bad idea after all...  ::)

btw. i didn´t open the kfm720´s sff file, wich one program should i use.  ???

Just pmed warner since it seemed he wanted to open the sprites, or get the sprites

Scroll down to this line "Tool to open SFFv2 Files"
download it, and put it in your mugen rc3 directory, just drag and drop the sff you want into it and you can view all the sprites you want to.
Either that, or you can just go to the mugen folder then click the work folder, then click the kfm720 folder to see all the individual sprites.  If you want to see their position and such just open the kfm-sff.def file, and scroll down.

So maybe he will finish the project, which is what it sounded like what he wanted to do.

I like the sprite posted by Cyanide (by .\/. ) better than Warner's.

But still, I believe the detail potential should be aimed at a more relaxed, funny cartoonish face, instead of the serious rictus of both versions.

Closing his eye's again is OK. I just like the idea of having a decent base for shading examples, and being able to actually return something to elecbyte. Sure it's not much but they don't want money right now, perhaps upscaling one of their characters would be a decent "donation" instead. It's not like people here don't have SOME free time to put into a single sprite.

Beside the point!! I didn't make that sprite and take no credit for it but it is a nice piece of HD spriting for a simple character.

I agree :) It's time to see a well done Suave Dude in mugen. However, I also agree with Iced that we have to walk before running. Nice expression Iced ;)
