Hey there. While discussing some stuff with the people at 1emu, I had an idea for a mod mainly for the releases / projects forums, to cut down on the number of "crap releases" threads on the later pages. I'm not sure this happens often enough (not really following either of the mentioned forums ), but I'd think it does.My idea is adding an option for mods to flag a topic "unworthwhile", which effectively deletes (-> moves to recycle bin) the threads after X days of no responses. This might be helpful for threads where immediate deletion might seem inappropiate, for instance really crappy creations noone will ever actually appreciate, but the author might learn a thing or two, where it would seem too harsh towards the author to delete the thread just like that. These clutter up the later pages of the releases forum, but at the point where a deletion would be appropiate are forgotten, which makes the overall quality of characters in the release forum suffer.X would be something between 7 and 30 days I'd imagine...
I'd agree with that. I'm not going to be flagging anything in winanes err "special" forums as rubbish. It would come in handy for general as well.
For some reason I didn't fathom the "flag" part. Long work day =PAn option for mods to activate the timed deletion is a good idea.
I didn't say anything 'bout an immediate deletion button though =P Mock me for not seeing the word flag instead
