Yay, the airing time is now perfect. I don't know what you guys prefer, but I'm satisfied with 11:00 pm (which is 23:00 in the evening in Holland)

Can't wait for them to tell us Joker's release date for Smash.

I wonder if Joker's even at a point that they can show off yet.  They hadn't even started work on him when he was first announced.

I'm hoping we'll get some news about improvements to Switch online.  The free NES games are great and all, but the service could still use some major improvements.

I want to believe that 2 months is enough to show....something.

Personally the only real big thing that we know of that I would like something on is the new Pokémon generation games.  Still don't really care about Fire Emblem nor Joker and it's rather unlikely they'll show off the next character before they at least show off his gameplay in some fashion.  Normally I'd say that while 2 months would certainly get them some progress done on the character, Nintendo's perfectionism would probably hold off on him until there was a lot to show.  But then I'm reminded prior to Ulitmate's release we got Young Link on the official website with messed up hair that was unfinished on his model, so hey, not impossible.

Fire Emblem on July 26.
Wow, they just decided to go ahead and wrap up the "headline" series and drop the last bunch of titles at maximum speed.

That was a good direct. Astral Chain looks super fun. Link's Awakening Remake looks really cool.

Astral Chain's art direction doesn't impress me but cyberpolice Jojos is an interesting idea, may keep an eye on that to see if it's good Platinum or bad Platinum.

Link Awakening, I loved Link's Awakening when I was young.  This looks...odd, to say the least.  Like one of those Disney games with the weird mini-model they used for Link.  But I still intend to get it.  As well as Dragon Quest 11 coming to Switch, been very much waiting to getting around to get that off my to-do list and now I can skip being tied to the PS4, would much rather play it portable.

So...is new Fire Emblem just Harry Potter?  With Pokémon Go red/blue/yellow factions?  I knew going in it wasn't my thing but it amused me that's all I really got from it.

It was pretty weak to me. Nothing really stood out. All those RPGs looked so samey, like damn.

Link's Awakening makes me wonder if they'll remake Oracle of Seasons/Ages at some point as well.

Super Mario Maker 2 Yeah Baby!
TBH though, they should have called it Super Mario Maker DELUXE. That's practically what it is.
Slopes! FINALLY we get slopes! As well as other amazing content in SMM2!
So many questions left unanswered though. Like details on 100 Mario (considering all the dislikes on the switch online media). Other questionable missing content etc.

Everything else in the Direct was...... well.... meh.... Mediocre at best IMO. New Yoshi game, so.... Yay???

The art style for the Link's Awakening remake looked crazy familiar to me and I just realized why:  It looks just like those old Rankin/Bass stop motion Christmas movies.

I don't know what to do with this knowledge now.
