How do certain characters not change their character icon?

Some characters' icons change colours depending on their palettes and you notice it when you look at them during a fight.

Yet, there are others whose icon remains the same, despite their sprites being many different colours.

Some character examples are B. Jenet by Fervicante and Hotaru by M3.

How exactly can you make the characters' icons not share the same colours as their sprites?

  • I feel used, abused, and I'm not amused.
'Shared palette' option. It was available in the previous FF, don't know about the new since I haven't bothered to try it.
