...So goes every Pokémon generation?  Or well, games in general, as they're supposed to go anyways.  They made improvements on the last game for a new one.  I'd give you that it sure felt like there should have been more to do in Sun/Moon post-game, but on its own for the main portion it felt fine as a Pokémon game.  An acceptable amount of new enjoyable content, retooling some old issues and some meta changes.

I mean, something in Sun/Moon's possible favor is it's the canon story.  Ultra Sun/Moon are devised specifically to take a non-canon route.  You're not playing the same game, rather starting from the same point as the last one and going somewhere else.  Presumably, the next game in line will reflect on Sun/Moon's world and story outcomes rather than whatever nostalgia trip we're getting here from Giovanni and Friends.

Also on the latest trailer confirming previous leaks...I won't lie.  I have an attachment for Ruby and Sapphire's Archie and Maxie over Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire's over the top redesigns.  For most of Honen, to be quite frank.  The girl avatar, Wally, the Team Aqua and Magma subordinates, some of the actual Pokémon like the Aggron or Gardevoir line. (Though that's more the case of transitioning from 2D to 3D)  To go back to them after ORAS's reboot is quite nice, personally.  And in such a non-canon offshoot like this is probably preferable for those who liked the redesigns, as it won't last beyond this.

It also just occurs to me that confirming Giovanni now helps cement the connection to Gold and Silver.  His kid's a big focal point in those, due to Team Rocket falling to Red and then Giovanni taking a sabbatical.  In this timeline, if Giovanni's won (And apparently kept his hands on Mewtwo), Silver the character would be around as an adult working for him.  Would be an interesting encounter to run into him, maybe with a sullen Red and/or Blue?  They got the models from last game to put to better use, anyways.

As if lowering Mega Beedrill's defense to an absurdly low 15 wasn't enough, they gave Stakataka only 13 speed.

I know the damn thing is a literal wall with shitty typing but damn they're trying way too hard.

I like to point out that this thing is slower than Torkoal.

Has its VGC niche.

that's interesting lusamine is still the main antagonist but instead of using nebby to go into the wormhole making ultra space her home, here she's kinda like lysandre where she blames a legendary pokemon for destroying their home but it's her beautiful paradise instead of the pokemon world

Avoiding the spoilers, I can wait for the actual game.  Egg and tutor moves are good to know, though.  Now I know I can hold off on breeding a shiny Kommo-o or Lucario until finishing these games, Meteor Mash and Close Combat or Drain Punch sounds good on each of them.  Thanks.

And for some non-spoiler stuff; you are able to catch an unlimited number of the original 7 Ultra Beasts, as their spawn flag resets each time you enter their respective Ultra Space areas. The only Ultra Beasts that have a limited number available are Blacephalon, Stakataka, and Poipole/Naganadel.
