Well, I was working on these since a few weeks ago, I just recently got in the mood of finishing these. The design is different from the ones I'm using at the moment, its more.. Umm.. A bit KoF-like & a bit of my style.

Excellent looking lifebars AND for older Winmugen. Any plans for a 1.0 version or do you think it'll work in it as it is?

They work in 1.0, but the localcoord of the system.def must be 320,240
There is an issue though when playing it in 1.0, the name fonts become enormous

Id suggest adding boxes around the normal small portraits.

Still winmugen has another great contribution for it. No disrespect for 1.0 but, this is one of the reasons why, I still enjoy playing winplus. Awesome bars brotha! :sugoi:

Admittedly, these are better than what you've used for most of your shots beforehand. They're not loaded with stuff everywhere.

Ah now I know what I did wrong,
I used
[Name]
p1.pos = 4,36
p1.name.font = 3,0, 1
p1.name.font.scale = .5,.5
p2.pos = 316,36
p2.name.font = 3,0, -1
p2.name.font.scale = .5,.5
Just like what you suggested, it didn't work. I changed it to

[Name]
p1.pos = 4,36
p1.name.font = 3,0, 1
p1.name.scale = .5,.5
p2.pos = 316,36
p2.name.font = 3,0, -1
p2.name.scale = .5,.5
& now the scaling works fine

Awesome! Thanks for the patch for use in 1.0! I'll be using this for my main Winmugen roster and my second 1.0. Fantastic stuff man.  :2thumbsup:

I would like to request that too, even though I know it's asking for too much. My screenpack works with 640x480 localcoord, and I don't really want to get rid of it. Although the lifebars are horrible.

These are great. I'm already using them in one of my mugen folders.

One small suggestion - in the Readme you said to open the mugen.cfg and change the time to 200. Since I change lifebars sometimes I might forget to change back my mugen.cfg to the default time. What I did was to change the counter tick time in the VP_Fight.def file from 30 to 60, or even 90. If you update the lifebars, you may want to change it to make it easier for users to just drag and drop and just add or subtract a semicolon.

very sweet looking

but i would make the small portraits smaller a bit and as OrochiGill mentioned, a square around them would be better too.

One more thing: The BG for the P2 combo counter looks like it was not flipped, thus it looks odd.

Have you tried using Fighter Factory?

Thanks for the feedback guyz, when I get the time, I'll update the lifebars and have an option for compatibility with localcoord 640x480 1.0 users

Ok yeah I got put thecustom portrait in, however when I tested it out the green didn't disappear. still trying to find a way past that.

Awesome bars! Yeah there are a few small issues which i would iron out
-When the battle setup flashes up, when the light goes green it seems to stay on the screen for about a second after the battle starts, the AI can get a cheeky hit or 2 in before this disappears.
-P2 combo font detail needs to be reversed
-Possibly, change the colour of the 'winner' font after the battle to match with the battle setup text etc.
-I dont understand why you'd put the player portrait for default under the bars instead of over. Between the bars, portraits, and combo font they take up a lil too much room on the screen IMO. Possibly consider shrinking the portraits and placing them on top of the bars.
