My lifebar sprites are set to layerno=2, because I wanted the lifebars to be displayed on top of the characters. But now, I want to display an explod above the lifebars... How can I do this? It's dependent upon the lifebar implementation, otherwise it is literally impossible to get an explod on top of the lifebars. That's why MFJ has two .def files for each power bar configuration.
You probably know this, but can use assertspecial to disable lifebars temporarily... which is a perfect solution in some cases... and sometimes it's not ideal
