What the title says it's a 3V3 or 4V4 Simultaneous patch for mugen 1.0 and it works.

Just drag and drop the mugen 1.0 copies to mugen directory, run a simul match and enjoy! :bison:

This is nice tool! I tried it out using the 3 vs 3 Simul on team arcade and i was able too control my whole team every time i jump my two partners jump every time i block they blocked. Shouldn't the cpu control my 2 partners.

Just tried it.
There is no way to change the controls for the 3rd or 4th person on your team. They seem to always be controlled by the player no matter what you try.


Also, yea I can already see the bugs in this.

The Trick for the CPU to control the other two characters, make the 3rd person in the team the character you actually want to play with, and while the intros are going on press ctrl 1 then ctrl 3 :p

Who is the creator this?
Sounds like this could be useful in making a Marvel 2-like full game.
Agreed.  It'd be interesting to see this patch developed further.

This is a mugen 1.0 hack right?... I also suspect that trigger redirections will not work as spected here... or the creators of this took te time to add a Partner(0) or Partner(1) triggers? If this just enables more than 2 chars in siul, then tag stuff wone't work properly without identifying how many partners you have and which is who...

I think you're right. I've been playing with this thing all day (giggidy), and couldn't find a way for partners to be identified. I got a varset to work with numpartner >=3, so maybe that's a start idk.....

I think you're right. I've been playing with this thing all day (giggidy), and couldn't find a way for partners to be identified. I got a varset to work with numpartner >=3, so maybe that's a start idk.....
That is a natural result, NumPartner works exactly like NumEnemy, like a boolean but also as an "enumerator" or int, meaning that, if you have more than one enemy, NumEnemy returns 2 (or 3/4 depending which version of the exe you ran), the same goes for NumPartner, but that is not because of this hacks, Elecbyte created and treated this trigger the same way they did with NumEnemy since the beggining (or at least since WinMUGEN)... I really don't have a proff of this besides your post and my logic in programming... why limiting a trigger similar to NumEnemy just because you only have one partner? nstead you leave it "open" for future adittions (?)

I hope that the people working on this either team up with Elecbyte or Add a way to detect every partner you have, otherwise this is useless :(

As dumb as this may sound, I might just try this just to see how a team of Raohs fight against a team of Kenshiros.
As if 2 v 2 simultaneously wasn't bad enough.

But, in the end, this is pretty neat all things considered.

I can already see my helper limit being broken in an instant and my computer freezing. Then there's the fact that 4 characters alone pretty much takes up the whole screen. 4 more would just make it impossible to get anything done. Not interested, but I hope the rest of you enjoy it. Sounds like a great concept, the only thing is to find someone to tweak it, so that it could be controlled by more players, so that we could have 4-Player Mugen.. that be sick :)

It's literally a single bytes change in the EXE file that determines how many team members can be in simul mode. It crashes if you try to put a value higher than 4, probably because Mugen doesn't know how to handle a side with over 4 characters (the select screen starts getting weird even before it crashes)

this tool is great and all but there's still some problems with it.

Full-Screen Hypers will cause a crash i.e. Archers infinite BladeWorks Hyper or just about anything else that would run a full-screen video just before the actual hyper.

Hypers can be easily disrupted if 3V3 or 4V4 which may or will cause frozen characters or invisible/unhittable characters.
Example: Rugal does a God Press but somehow he was just hit out of it, the character who was caught by his Hyper collision is STUCK in it and cannot move but his/her/it's collision box is still visible.

AI fights
Some characters have specified codings for players 1, 2, 3, and 4 so if they detect more than 4 players on-screen they will not move but instead will only try blocking and not fight back and there are some who will fight and defeat players 1-4 but will completely ignore or block players 5-8 good examples of first AI error would be DC Stan by 1/8192 and an example for error 2 would be Sol by Muteki, however there's a 2011 AI patch on him i've not updated at all because it seems to beat the newer AI of Muteki's updated Sol's. I guess i'll confirm it by DL'ing his most recent Sol and see if i get any similar results.

an obvious error is character positioning but that's easily fixed....if someone's willing to edit oh...i think over 20k or more stages for players 5-8 then they'll appear on their sides instead of behind there opponents or....even in the middle (lol).

this is about all the errors i've found so far...now i need a screenpack that can FULLY display 1280x720 instead of getting Half of the bottom screen cut-off. (dam Ares screen-pack...WHY U NO SCREEN STRETCH???)

That's pretty much it, otherwise is a mess... even simul mode with two is sometimes a whole dammed mess XD (but still funny XD), this 3v3 if we get the correct handlers to work it properly, can be the perfect MVC2 tag system emulation ever...

near to imposible.. there is no such code to identify your third partner! XD

That's why this needs more work, we need to identify Partner(0) and Partner(1), but currently, in this hack we are still reying on normal partner redirections... well... it's a hack... unless thy mannage to alter the code so deeply in this state, this is just half the way to go...

I would recommend updating this patch for 1.1 as you will have more freedom with camera zoom options thus being able to see more of the stage at once making it easier to keep watch over the action as well as allowing characters more roaming options thus making for a better 4x4 or 3x3 battle.

Im wondering...could this patch be re-worked and added into Mugen 1.1? With stages zooming out seems ideal and if we get some platforming stages....it'd be worth it! I can imagine the chaos now..........*Characters fighting in a Brawl like element, Hadoukens, Bullets, Grenades and character assists all over the place, Massive boss battles like OmegaPsychos Legion taking on 4 heros/heroines, and best of all new stage possibilities like Scrolling platform stages OR Boss stages where there attacks are somewhat interactive with the stage itself acting as an attack *i.e. Falling rocks, Spike pits, lava, and much much more*)

This reminds me when i have my PSP with 'Infinity Cat'(MUGEN 4 PSP).
Infinity Cat have 3v3 and 4v4 to but i dont remenber of any bug exepting the low frame rate thanks to PSP hardware.

this sounds like a great idea. but as mentioned the stages would have to be zoomed out. i recall a couple of stages made by author Los tha Don that had that zoomed out look. They would be perfect for this

Hi, i'm new in this forum, I want to report this site that i found on mugenmultiverse

this is a patch for "4 vs 4 simul mode" for mugen 1.1 beta 1.

this patch work correctly, and the player are all identfied

unzip this patch in your mugen directory, the files are "3v3_ai357.exe and 4v4_ai357.exe" the other two not identify the character correctly i think.

however from now is possible play survival and team arcade on 4 vs 4!!

just you press

ctrl+2 for toggleai player 3

now you con use this patch with openGL accelerations hardware, and all works very well!!

is possible to modify this patch to have 4 vs 4 in tag mode with every mugen characters instead 4 vs 4 simultaneously? it would be cool!!

This is a mugen 1.0 hack right?... I also suspect that trigger redirections will not work as spected here... or the creators of this took te time to add a Partner(0) or Partner(1) triggers? If this just enables more than 2 chars in siul, then tag stuff wone't work properly without identifying how many partners you have and which is who...

what did you opened?
