Well here is my attempt at HD, similar to those from the udoncrew about 2 to 3 hours.

Holy sh--

You really need to work for Udon or teach them a thing or two, kronos.

Great stuff, really.

Except I'm pretty sure his left hand is supposed to be in front of his leg. And his right hand's fingers are too long (the line that runs across his thumb is a bit long).

And is it just me or does his cap look like a smurf hat.

nice, though I think that pallette size + ability to recreate the same with slight variation for the next frames would be very very hard at that kind of shading as light jumps around a lot unless you really can animate fully rendered pieces, though nice work overall ^^

     I understand what you mean here is a sample of ken HD from the UdonCrew

     Long Vo at UC seems to be bound by a color and size margin, and I dont know if these is the final piece
Because the UC stated, that the following frames will be done by another team. So I don’t know if there
Going to turn it into a sprite. I will have to wait a see, as for my shedding the final layer is just a darker color of the actual one. Then I erase the areas where the light should be. This means I can control the light.




Q) Is UDON drawing every frame of animation for the sprites?
A) No. Another company is taking our extensive sprite redesigns/key frames and animating them for the game. Our job is to design the sprites for high resolution and give the other game studio the tools they need to animate them smoothly.


Q) Why are some of the frame samples posed a bit oddly?
A) The outline/forms of the characters have to be identical to the original to keep the hitbox areas intact and the gameplay the same. Some of these poses, blown up 4.5 times and taken out of sequence, can look a bit odd. We're doing our best to be faithful to the original poses while adding new detail/clarity.

I'm not so fond of Ghost Rider, since the shading technique seems to be a bit different, and without as much details. The spikes on his boots, for example, could be better. And his pants aren't fantastic either.
The flames are nice though.

Concerning Rouga, it's a jewel. I really like it, even though I would have prefered if his clothes were a bit brighter. That's a perfect piece of art. :)

2/3 hours per sprite/drawing ?
:thinking: ... :idea: ... In less than a year, you could achieve a whole spriteset for a character. ;D [/ just kidding]

damn I will  work on ghost kinda rush it a bit, glad you liked Rouga  :)

yeah I did the math on that too , dont what to set any high hopes
I dont what to end up a liar then make up excuses like "my pc broke down and
I forgot to make a back up" and stuff like that. At leat I will try and make  a few
character and have the what if scenario

as for more of M.Bison maybe later on  currently work on other characters.

Rouga looks extra nice except I think that the shape of his face is sort of long? I don't know, that's just me. :P

As for Ghost, the flames are great except like Cybaster said the lower part of the body lacks a lot of detail, and the spikes too. But I guess you already knew that so yeah.

If you're really going to make an entire spriteset, make sure you have enough time and motivation to go all the way. :)

I'm pretty sure everyone is interested in an animated Bison stance. Good luck.
