Project: DecompUGEN

I am trying to start a very ambitious project.

THE GOAL: Decompile MUGEN, and eventually create a version of the code that can be easily modified to add all sorts of features.
Tag, replays, online, you name it! All integrated into the executable. By the time of completion, we hope to have easy-to-modify code for every main version of MUGEN: 1.1, 1.0, WinMUGEN, and possibly even certain DOS versions.

If any of you reading this are feeling up to the task, be my guest! I'd greatly appreciate it! I guess a good place to start would be to try using some kind of decompiler program to decompile the MUGEN 1.0 executable, and try to make sense of what it gives you.

This is a project by the community, for the community. I do not want to profit off of this.

Its like a great ambitious dream with no intention to wake up soon or more like "hey everyone acomplish my foolish project".
Get into ikemen or some already mugen available clone and use it as a starting point.
There is no knowledge that is not power

You’ve offered zero actual foresight and planning on how you would achieve such a ridiculous goal, you have 0 credentials to lead anyone to believe you would get anything done or even contribute to this. On top of that your only post here has been to ask people to help you 30 minutes after posting this thread. Idea engineering isn’t for you to just suggest something and hope everyone does it for you. Like mangeX said you’d better strap in and learn how to code for Ikemen

Unless you can post an actual roadmap or framework, this post doesn’t belong here and I’m moving it to MUGEN discussion

Actually, MUGEN Discussion was where I originally posted this, and it was only after re-viewing it that I decided to move it here.

I simply thought it didn't fit there.

It's not getting an idea going. It's saying 'Hey I'm gonna do this" with no idea how and then asking people for help.

Youve still not told me what you can even offer to this project
