Because it's incredibly popular within both communities and CEO held an offer to allow it into the official lineup via twitter. The guy above me happens to know absolutely squat evidently.

Really though despite being a hack it's incredibly popular so they would've done it anyways.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

Isn't Ninty doing their usual Cease and Desist crap for this game?

Uh...no? They confirmed that they can't support it but are intrigued by it and want nothing to do with it officially. They really don't care? How would they C&D it if CEO is already over?

Outside of Evo, fighting games streams aren't worth the time for Nintendo to do that.

That too.

Everything I said above still stands. P:M has existed for a long time and nothing has been done about it so they clearly do not care. Given that they just invited a part of the Melee community to an invitational tournament I think they know that C&Ding P:M would be incredibly suicidal.  I also don't know where you got "usual" from but that's another story.

That should been the answer from the beginning instead of answering me with more questions. I do not follow the Smash Community, so I didn't really know Nintendo's stand on the matter.

Plus, "usual" like this or this.

Oh boy, whatever. Anyone going to EVO this year? I'll be flying from Perú to LA in two days to get there by July 9th.

kickstarters that use copyrighted material usually go nowhere fast, that's not a very noteworthy example

I don't really mind it since I already got my answer: They don't care about Project M.

I'm going to EVO just for the side tournaments.
..Oh yeah, I registered for KOF though even though the game is pretty stale and boring to me nowadays.

I don't honestly watch streams anymore, so I can't say I like it haha.
I'm more excited about playing GGAC+R, Love MAX!!!!! and JoJo ASB than KOF (I was going to register for Ultra as well but I'm waiting for the physical release)

200% sure they'll have that and P4U2.
Most likely the very same stations we'll be using this weekend at Anime Expo.

Edit:
I should've entered BB.

Brackets are up.

I got to play in the same pool as Noel Brown. The rest of people in my bracket isn't known to me.

Protip: If you wanna find yourself or look for a specific player, just do a quick search on Google like this:

So, EVO on IGN

Quote
For the first time ever, IGN will be livestreaming the event, and delivering a level of coverage well beyond what it has typically done in the past.

It starts with the IGN Evo 2014 event page. From here, you'll be able to watch all the main stage action live, as it happens. But what if you miss the huge upsets, or the big moments your friends are freaking out about? No worries. You'll be able to watch archives of everything from Evo's main and secondary stream after the matches conclude.

From the same page, you'll have access to tournament brackets, a full stream schedule, and a rolling ticker of content we'll be delivering from the tournament hall. Expect player interviews, hands-on footage of upcoming fighting games, developer commentaries, and more.

BUT ...

Woah woah woah. I just realized...you're going to be mirroring a stream. That basically means you're simply trying to capitalize on the FGC by stealing views from dedicated streams and streamers line Haunts and Sp00ky. Take away their views and CPM during the FGC's biggest event of the year, but show them practicality no love the rest of the time? Shame on you, IGN.

.... IS THIS TRUE?!
