The Man Without The Plan

So, I finally decided to start making content for MUGEN, instead of just being a player.

So, it will be an oldschool character, huh...
Well, I wish you good luck, and because of your strange supers idea, I suggest you change his name somehow, like EX Ryu for example.

I'll name him "Ryu (Alternate Version)", or "Ryu (Alt.) for Lifebars.

As for the two moves from Ken/Akuma, it's the Double Shoryuken, and the Rising Hurricane Kick.

Here's his color palette! This took a bit longer, manly because of added sorting. The purple color is the EX Hadouken, it'll be changed to red/orange when finished.

And here's a edited sprite! It's based on his hadouken throwing sprites from SSF2T! It has a EX version too.

So, I have to redo the sprite file, since the spritepack I have, ripped by Insanius, has all the sprites facing left. So I'm swapping them to right now, along with turning/shifting some sprites for 5070-5072.

But, here's a early look into the color palette that will be used.

Color 1: Normal/White+Red
Color 2: Black+Yellow
Color 3: Blue+Pink
Color 4: Yellow+Light Blue
Color 5: Light Blue+White
Color 6: Light Purple+Grey-ish Green

EDIT: I've decided to make my own coding, since it'll help me later down the line.

Standing Sprites have been Re-added.

Walking (fwd,back), and Running have been added.

Codding wise, Backwards Running has been added.

Not really. He doesn't change forms, he just has those hyper moves.

Please note that, because I used Windows Movie Maker to make the video, the colors are slightly off.

Here is a early look into "MS Paint Castle", the next stage in the "MS Paint Series". As of right now, it's about 40% done, missing some animation and changing the stage lengths.

More updates will come in the following days.

Here is a Projectile and a Uppercut code I made (Not as hard as I thought it'd be, but still needed to look up certain triggers and stuff) to be used in Ryu (Alt.), using a copy of KFM as a test character.

The projectile was rather simple, only problem was I had trouble with only using it one at a time, which I fixed after looking up the triggers.

The Uppercut is split into 2 States. 1st State is launching him up after a certain time in the animation, and the second state brings him down after a certain height. It was a pain to code, but it's decent for now.

They're not complete yet, and after I finish inserting Ryu's sprites, I'll transfer the code to him.

I'll try to make a Hurricane Kick and a Power charge later.

A HUGE UPDATE ON RYU (Alt.) IS COMING.

After I'm done making the video for this, I'll post it here.

To cut to the case: I'm about 73% done right now. Just need to fix up certain things, add some sounds effects, and Ryu (Alt.) will be released.

Also, the reason I didn't post any updates in the last 2 weeks is because the internet was out.

EDIT: Expect the video tomorrow, along with something else.

Nope. All his hair will keep the same color.

Right now I'm Color Seperating his Ankle-Chain things, since they use the orange from his hair.

This will probably take a few months of on-off work, as I'm still improving Ryu (Alt.) by adding a Color Seperation to him too.

Here is a Updated Version of the Color Seperation for Blanka.

Here's what's been seperated:
His Shorts (They originally used the orange from his hair)
Legs (Might give his feet it's own color...maybe)
His Ankle-Chain things (Again,they originally used the orange from his hair)

And that's about it. I'll post a update on my Blanka (Thojoewhit Version) + Color Seperation some point next week, along with a Update on Ryu (Thojoewhit Version) (originally called Ryu (Alternate Version), will now be called Thojoewhit Version, since this system will be using for most of my characters)

Here is the Final Version of the Blanka (Thojoewhit Version) + Color Seperation. I toned it down so I can realistically get it done, plus have 3 seperate colors for hair/skin is abit silly. I'll do more complex Color Seperation in the future, but for now, this is as complex as I can get without overdoing it.

Alrighty, here's the thing...

The Blanka Color Seperation has been cancelled, manly because of 3 things:

1. I prefer coding and making characters than Color Seperating. While Color Seperation started out kinda fun, it quickly lost interest to me. It became boring and frustrating.
2. I really want to make a Rugal, after playing as him in CVS2. He's a fun character to me.
3. I want to improve my coding skills.

Two Characters are currently in the W.I.P stage: Blanka, and Rugal. There's kinda a 3rd Character, but it's not yet planned out.
I hope to show off Rugal by the end of next week, if nothing pops up.
