In regards to Realras palletes, i'll just label them as "Custom" until told otherwise XD

Some small updates, first off his Dash Collision sprite is actually finished


Ahem... Sorry for being that one annoying guy, but the pixel behind him isn't supposed to be there is it? :)

Looks good, but the face looks a bit doopy.
The mouth looks a little to big and the eyes looks smeared for some reason.

I'll keep an eye on any further updates.  Good luck ;)

Don't apologise! Thank you for the criticism, i wasn't entirely confident in the face either but i can see what you mean. Hopefully this fixes it

Also slowly chipping away at this

Looks a way better, but the mouth is still a bit too big. Try making him look a bit more like he's growling, instead of this big ol' smile. ;)

Been a while, but i promise progress is being made! Turning Anim is mostly complete, an his big portrait has been adjusted a bit, same as Dash Collision. On top of that, Goku Black has some coding stuff done, so Bardock is slowly but surely receiving a good jumping off point in regards to coding. Also made some concept art for various anims. I apologise for the lack of updates, things in life have gotten a bit hectic, but i really do hope to make some progress. Bardock isn't dead, nor will die! (ignore that he is canonically dead)

Also feel it only right to show the stuff. Admittedly at the time i held back due to wanting to get back to them + laziness, but i realised that my access to internet being so inconsistent that i straight up can't do that. I apologise and will update whenever i can now





Also, coding Black is going nice, with most of the HDBZ system stuff completed, just need to do throw techs.

Plus i think some hit states were updated in 4.2b iirc, i will adjust accordingly

Well done man, I'm following your work from the beginning, i know that my comment may not help much, but this bardock project is on the right way.
That base template of power charge animation looks good.

IMPORTANT!!!

I finished implementing Z Counters in to Black, and imported the code in to Bardock. He seems to sort of pause the screen momentarily, allowing you to counter with normals. This is a glitch, but the more i look at it the more i like it. I kinda want to keep this, but i understand that this could be REALLY strong. I'd sincerely like to hear input on this, how should it be tweaked? Should it stay at all? While this is my character, ultimately its ya'll who'll play him XD

A small update. First off

This is his ACTUAL finalised pallete template. The eyes were separated from the teeth, and additional shades were added for the inside of his mouth. But don't fret! I went ahead and applied this change to every pallete submitted thus far as well as ones i made (theres 41 palletes if you include his template sweet buttery jesus thanks)
On top of that, power charge is coming along nicely but is still pretty early, working on get hits, and sketched a new animation (hint, people on Discord suggested it to me ages ago, and i liked it so much i decided to straight up do it)

Ok, first off
Its been 6 weeks. I am very sorry, i just sorta lost track of time, had a lot on my plate
Second, that doesn't mean Bardock is dead, or that i haven't been working on him at all! In fact, theres a lot of unfinished stuff done for him, and after Black is out and my drawing tablet arrives, progress will get ludicrously faster. That being said, what i've done

Practised coding with Black, but after doing so, realised coding and spriting Bardock simultaneously would take way too long, i will hopefully have found someone by the time he has more stuff. Beta is here

Second, revamping a lot

Was given a lot of feedback for the idle, including some tips, and i've taken them to heart. This thing won't be animated for ages yet,  want to do that last (as suggested by HDBZ Discord members)
Also redoing his old sprites to fit the new one, Stand Turning has been redone, and Dash collision is nearly there

Thirdly, have a lot of WIP stuff. Too early to show, but these include
-All standing normals
-Neutral jump
-Stand to Crouching
-Stand blocking
-Stand get hits
among others

Lastly, another thank you to everyone who submitted palletes, its once again appreciated. Bardock probably won't get a barrage of updates for a little bit yet, but make no mistake He is nowhere near dead, and i intend to get a lot of work done in the coming months. Have a good one
