Just sprite WIPs for now. Milk from Pop'n Music (Specifically her Iroha appearance) and Billy from Kensei: Sacred Fist. Need some input on these sprites if anyone good in that field could. Thanks!

For your sprites, they can really benefit from a simple light source to bring out details.

I made this GIF to show you what some lighting could do:



See how different it becomes in frames 2 and 3? All because of a light source. I didn't do the hands, because I didn't know how to approach it tbh.
(3rd frame was CPS2 light source, because I'm in love with that style, lol).

I also fixed the legs; took the bottom part of his viewer's left, and backed it up a pixel or two, and made his viewer's right foot look more as if it was planted on the floor, because in yours it didn't quite give off that impression.

That's my $0.02. Can't wait to see how you go about with your original sprite style. :yes:

Thanks for the fixes Hat! I actually was going to figure out the shading myself for the Billy sprite, but if you can get me a clean .png of that frame, that'd be wonderful.

And no, I do not have a deviantART Saint. I did think about it at first since tumblr does have a habit of decreasing quality and size of large images, but then I just dropped the idea.

Funny enough, "deviantART" is where the name "Dingviant-Art" came from.

You used a lot of similar colours for the trousers.
They look similar as I said, but they're different, you just need to use the bucket tool with 0 tolerance/threshold and another colour to see.
