Really now? Only gen 2 made significant changes?
Gen 3 introduced the weather effects to battles, which changed the game quite a bit. As well as double battles.
Gen 4 made the Special/Physical split to the attacks, so what stat they got their power based off of no longer was restricted to what type the move was.
And Gen 5 introduced TMs having infinite uses. Triple Battles, and Rotation battles.
And, Gen 6 will have Sky Battles. And Mega Evolutions.
...Also, nice job ignoring C.A.N's points.
There we go. This is what I wanted.
I take back Pokémon off that list.
How are the killstreak changes more important than the changes KOF made over the years? You're being too simplistic. KOF was even a 5 button game once.
KOF was a five button game twice actually(Neowave and XI)
COD KS system shit if you care:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
MW1 and WaWE had the basic 3,5,7 ks system. What rewards you could get were already predetermined and everyone had the same ones. But this only really applies to MW1 because people only play WaW for zombies
MW2 is the first one to allow you to choose your KS. If you were good enough to get high killstreaks you would be rewarded with stronger KS that would aid your team better than the lower KS. Those that weren't as good could still try to provide some support through KS with the lower ones. That is, until people remembered that KS kills count toward your next one and started abusing the hell out of Harrier/AC-130/Nuke because Harriers and AC-130s were highly lethal KSs and no one ever bothers to shoot them down so they easily get game winning nukes and holy shit that was fucking stupid.
BO1 still used MW2's KS selection but now KS kills don't count toward the next one, forcing players to actually do more work themselves if they wanted the good stuff. Also, it did away with nukes completely and all was well.
MW3 changed things up by splitting KS into assault, support and specialist. It also made it so that actually doing other shit besides killing others counted toward the next one. Assault was meant to help kill more enemies, Support was to help your team not die(WTF was stealth bomber a SUPPORT streak?) and Specialist gave you more perks and gave you all of them when you got 7 streak points making you stupidly powerful until you died. Support streaks stayed with you through death while the other two reset, which now that I think about it may not have been such a good idea. Also, Assault KS kills counted toward the next one because fuck the fans that complained about it in MW2 and fuck 3arc for giving them what they wanted in BO1. Did I mention that you can now re-obtain your KPS after you got them all without dying? That was great, but assault counting toward the next one made it easy to "loop" them and continue to get them as long as you didn't screw it up.
There's also MOABs but you need 25 kills in a row using your guns/knife/nades/equipment/everything that doesn't involve another KS reward so you don't actually see it as much as nukes, but still just as dumb.
BO2 put the KS back into one category and made them so you needed to get a certain "score" instead. As it turns out, actually doing the objectives you're supposed to be doing gave you more points than killing people requiring you to actually do shit and stop focusing on just eliminating the enemies. Oh and you got points for clearing enemy equipment....and assists. You got points for doing pretty much everything that doesn't involve dying. Probably the best KS system made in COD. Too bad BO2 has other problems.
Ghosts is looking to go back to MW3's system and since this is the hollow shell remnants of Infinity Ward, they're probably going to make Assault KSs count toward your next one which was stupid in MW2 and MW3 and it will be stupid in Ghosts too. The maps will probably be ass like MW3 too.
Somebody should slap Darkflare with an indecency charge for how bad he just exposed himself lmfao.
Ok, but only if we put you into an asylum cause you're obviously mental.
