SF IV Kung Fu Man (Feb 4 update)

Edited 1.0 Kung Fu Man to make use of the earlier worked on Focus Attack code, as well as the newer Ultra Bar / EX bar stuff that I'll be making a post about in a few minutes. The download can be found on my website, which is available by clicking on the dead Cody in my signature. Please be sure to give the readmes a glance to figure out what's what in this edited take on the old character, and I'll try and answer any feedback that may come up.

EDIT: ok got it working feedback will come.

Well the Focus attack didnt turn out as well as I thought it would look like. It still works though
Ultra Meter seem to work fine.

Mind elaborating on that? Are we talking code or visuals here? If the latter, do keep in mind that visuals can always be adjusted.

Mugen crashed when I chose the character for some reason and an error appeared, I tried downloading it multiple times and it's still no good.

Aaaaach...no wonder, I'm using RC5, I didn't know RC6 was out, I'll try this character out now

Two things, just for visuals: his rage bar looks way out of place when using 640x480 screens. Might want to add a switch for that. Also, Vyn did a fairly good looking FA fx for his characters.

Piñata: Sure, I can probably separate the bar code into a separate folder for purposes of making a widescreen and 4:3 version of it. I'm not sure where Vyn comes in though; did he make a post and delete it later?

Noticed a few bugs in the focus attack hitdefs and p2 state that I've worked the kinks out of; I've corrected the code in the Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials section. As for visuals on the move, I've posted an update to my old wip topic to show what's going on there, and I'll likely put up another build once he's 6-buttons.

I think he means the effects Vyn made for the focus attacks in his characters.

Is this SF4 Kung Fu Man open source? If so i think i might want to make a few characters. 8)

Reza: As it was meant for reference material to go with the recent tutorial topics, yes. You will want to refer to the focus attack code in that topic though at the moment, as the code in there is newer than what is currently online. Still a good place to start though.

SF IV Kung Fu Man beta has been updated with assorted fixes and additions, including upgrading to 6 button gameplay (still in progress) and fancy SF IV sparks and sounds. It's online at my site.

[Edit: minor update again to make bar selection automatic according to resolution and some focus attack changes]
