Spoiler: Episode 116 (click to see content)
Well, good-bye, Kefla. Also possible hello news that breaking the Potara mid-use ends the fusion? Is that news? I thought that wasn't a thing Vegito could do. Then again, the number of changes they gave the Potara this series, might as well add another weakness to it. Also, I might be thinking of Multiverse?
It was a real neat episode. These handful of episodes with the lady Super Saiyans have been among the better of the series in my opinion. Nothing mind-blowing, but this has been fun. Good on them. Now we build up to their dramatic "erasure", which will probably work anyways knowing it being a forgone conclusion or not because they've done good making us care for this universe. I'm honestly kind of sad neither Caulifla, Kale or Kefla obtained SSJ3, or their Legendary equivalent. But its parameters of needing something sturdier than a living body I guess was too much to pass even for these special Saiyans. Obtaining it as a fusion would have been a perfectly acceptable loophole, being two bodies, but alas. Maybe next arc.
So a few details on Ultra Instinct that popped out. There doesn't seem to be an actual multiplier or boost for this transformation, that or Kefla's laser light show actually was that overpowered if they were worried it would atomize anyone it touched in that arena. Which could very well also be a possibility, her claim to destroy a universe really isn't even remotely farfetched at this point. But anyways, the point being that he was still susceptible to attacks, we're not getting a power level wall like the Cell Juniors against SSJ2 Gohan with this new form. It really is just boiled down to the body moving more freely than the host's mind can allow. So it's more of a defensive feat than an offensive. As the show made a point on, though apparently that can also be surpassed. Though that part seems out of character to Goku, maybe? Giving up his martial arts training knowledge to his body's muscle memory? I dunno, but the way it's going now he'll probably do that as well down the line to fighting Jiren again. So in that case....what's Jiren's deal with his power being greater than the gods? His power doesn't come from his version of Ultra Instinct, at least in raw power output.
