Yes I can see it now. V1 looks creative and more traditional to muay thai. I like it, but V2 looks like the better option because it sticks close to Sagat's stance over the years. I wish he could have both. It was a tough decision but both are miles better than the stance that looked girly to me in the video.

thanks. V1 afterall is quite similar to the close stance.. so i think i'll go with V2. ;)

The stances look wonderful together. Awesome job. Looks to me that all is left is sound tweaking, A.I. balancing and intro outro aesthetics.

I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom uses some of your ideas for sf5 sagat.... very nice work!!!
So now that he is passed any sagat ever made for mugen have you thought of taking away his scar or eye patch to add story

taking away his scar or eyepatch is an hell of sprite work.. :( :(

Oh, it's not that hard actually. You may believe my word.
But the problem is I personally don't see a reason for YOURS Sagat to not have a scar. You Sagat is NOT from Street Fighter 1 OR SF IIV Anime, is he?

Exactly. Like I said, Sagat would need such changes only to simulate one of listed by me versions of him.
YOUR Sagat doesn't need such, M206.
But if YOU'LL WANT TO, then I can say from my experience- deleting his SCAR is not the hardest thing to do.

Something like a un-scarred Sagat mode would take way too long to edit. I want to test out these updates soon not in the distant future that is promised to no man. lol

i agree with you guys, thinking about it, there's no reason to remove the scar and eyepatch, since I want my sagat to be considered the most experienced one, so after the events of sf4/sfVtk etc (let's see what Capcom will do with SFV).

a possible thing to do is to edit every sprites to simulate the unscarred chest using scar color separation..but even this is very difficult and would take too much time. ;) ;)

in the meanwhile i've fixed some sprite errors in the crouching stance, in 2 standing stances right hand, and added one transition frame on crouching light punch and crouching light kick.

I think it was ghost rider I can't remember but it was some marvel character that capcom copied ideas from the mugen community... There was also that 3ds dragon ball 2d fighting game which was inspired from mugen.

Great work so far just throwing you ideas ... How about stance change command? With different moves in each stance?

interesting.. :) let's see what happen if and when sfv sagat will come out. ;)

about the stance change with different moves (something like gen's), we've already discuss it some pages ago, but i think it'd be too difficult for me to code and above all to decide which move use in which stances.. ;)

Love this Sagat. Blew thru 10 arcade runs. Love the melee combo system.(Should be a new style of gameplay call it M206 :p) So, You've updated him? I've notice the new stance followed by your update on kicks so Can I redownload? Or its still a W.I.P.
