Not to be a party crasher, but as said way earlier, I think Zero's sprite fits way better towards a Z2 styled C17 (look at the mass of the limbs)
Also take a look at the nice C18 edit Nicotinefist made at deviantart. Compare her face to your C17 edit, the relations of lower to upper legs, overall body mass and size. Before going ahead and doing a stance animation I'd recommend to get down the style first ;)

Also take a good look at the existing cast

It was good practice, I think you should use this method too for you next animations.

I think Zero's sprite fits way better towards a Z2 styled C17 (look at the mass of the limbs)
Also take a look at the nice C18 edit Nicotinefist made at deviantart. Compare her face to your C17 edit

He took Armentis's face for his sprites. But I agree with the rest.

No it is not. Try harder buddy. I give you constructive feedback so that you cansit back and think about it. Ideally you would understand what I write and put action to that thoughts. You hardly changed anything on your edit, which is a shame, seeing that the less you try to improve, the less people will want to guide you towards something that can be considered as a good result. Not all feedback is good, but there have been plenty of tips, tricks and valid improvement comments, you didn't understand or didn't care for some reason. There's no fast way to learn/get good at something. This is hard work and if you don't want to do that, then that's fine for me, but then please stop thinking about a full character.

If you really want to improve art-wise you have to sit back and start to observe and compare. Compare the artwork done so far in that style. I don't know how old you are, but it really doesn't matter in the end. If you want to improve you will find ways to do so. Screw all the progress you made so far (after all Balthazar redid his Goku x-times until he was truely satisfied with the outcome at that time). Start again, from scratch, go back to the basics.
Here's a fast mockup of how C17 would probably look like in Z2 style (concerning limbs, mass and overall height) I took Nicotine's 18 Head really quick, because the head you used was way too small compared to Piccolo for example. Don't just fill in the gaps or finish that edit (make a completly new one yourself trying to emulate the proportions I showed you)

i just realized i put the thumb on the wrong place on the viewers left arm, ill fix that tommorw

Nicotine's 18 is too big. She should be just shorter than Vegeta. 17 should be the same height as Vegeta.

Well, I DID try to work on a polished up version of likiji's sprite so I could start animations, but I havent finished it. (not a fan of the head I made)


I do agree that Sin's bouncy animation is pretty good, I tried to do a combination of Kyo's arm movements and Rock's bounciness, but I'm not very good with idle animations.

HI actually you have a good stand, maybe only you need to make it more chuby (armas and other parts )change a few lines  and make more detail in your work

#17 isn't standing straight in that pose so you should account for that.

see see, now THIS is a lot better if you wanna do that kind of stance, the proportions look pretty consistent compared to balth's stuff, I suggest you build off of this sprite and start again while trying to look at more recent examples of the z2 style to see how it looks like piccolo, majin vegeta, .etc

I thought it was made clear that Nicotine's #18 is way too big for the sprite style, so you probably shouldn't use that for reference. The best edit I've seen so far in this page is Karasai's sprite, as it offers an interesting pose and a decent proportion.

Now that you mentioned that i discovered (compared him to vegeta) that 17 was too big so i fixed it

The best edit I've seen so far in this page is Karasai's sprite, as it offers an interesting pose and a decent proportion.
Well i used karasais sprite as a ref on how certain things should look
