That was only on Genesis mind you. Agh that version sucked so much, no blood code could save that port.

SNES version was much better. And was the 1st fighting game I ever played.
I disagree badly. I though even though there were only 3 usable buttons, graphic and gameplay wise the Genesis Port was superior to the thoroughly raped SNES Version.

I remember playing both Genesis and 32x ports of MK2 and no one was like Snes... are you serious?

I'm talking about MK1. And yes, as an avid MK1 player (didn't play shit after that) I remember being highly disappointed by the SNES port. The only appealing feature of the game was the absurdly excessive amount of blood.

Also, Fatalities - WTF Kano pulling NOTHING out of your chest?
WTF Sub-zero will crush you into ice cubes with a Van-Damme upwards punch?

If that's your definition of a good port ...

Now you got a point. SNES port of MK ONE was crap.
BTW: Kano pulls out sand, everyone knows that  :mmiley:

Um.... graphically, the SNES version of MK1 was superior to that of the genesis. The genesis version had smaller characters with a LOT less detail. The SNES version was a LOT closer to the arcade version in comparison, but the colors were a bit dull compared to the genesis version. Visually, the SNES version was better.

Everything else, however (speed, fluidity, attacks, blood, etc), was better in the genesis version. This proved that better graphics don't exactly make the better game.

As for MK2..... the SNES version was almost arcade perfect because Nintendo didn't restrict Midway this time around. The genesis version was sub-par in comparison because the SNES was the better hardware for what Midway needed/wanted to do.
