I don't like my vampire slayers equipped with katanas. Also, james wan said:The thing I love about what Konami did with Castlevania, was taking the iconic Dracula mythology and Eastern-European setting, and retelling it with a Japanese pop-cultural sensibilityCan someone elaborate a little more on this? I'm having a brain-fart figuring it out.
Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Oh dear god!Why must everyone in Hollywood drink Uwe Boll's Kool-Aid? This is ridiculous to the bitter end.
I'm pretty much one of those hardcore Castlevania fans that has been dreading the news of a Castlevania movie ever since it was rumored years ago.But honestly..this doesn't sound all that awful, especially compared to Paul W.S. Anderson. At least with this guy, it might have some gore and blood..rather then what I assumed would have just been another generic action movie that happens to have "gothic" elements. (Best example, Van Helsing.)
This sounds interesting and I love the poster.. I wonder if they'll have sequels depicting the different generations of Belmonts. Either way the story has great potential. Hopefully they dont f- it up like most movie adaptions do with both botching the story and portraying unconvincing actors.

Come to think of it, there really aren't any video game movie adaptations that were ever done perfectly. I mean some people may argue that the Resident Evil movies were good, but even those few fans admit that it barely follows the games as accurately as it could have. Otherwise...the chance of this being done well are slim to none, but I still hope for the best. Something tells me that we're gonna get something along the lines of this...A high school student named Jimmy Belmont takes a field trip to Transylvania, falls into some cave by accident..and discovers the ancient vampire killer whip. He then uses it to fight monsters and save the world from Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyTHE MOST POWERFUL THING IN DEH UNIVERSE! Because every generic action movie needs some unspecified ultimate power. along the way he encounters Alucard. A troubled goth at school who has the power to kill zombies in slow motion. They both rush to kill Dracula, a super demon from the planet Castlevania that has come to Earth to steal the ultimate weapon and suck everyone's blood to power it!Based on what I've seen from past video game and/or comic book to movies adaptations in the past...I can safely assume that my attempt at a 10 year old's movie plot will be the closest to what the movie might be like.
I don't even know what to think about this...They'll probably pick The Rock to play Simon/Trevor and get Jerry Seinfeld to play Dracula.Maybe they'd cast Richard Simmons as Grant and Paris Hilton as Sypha. One could only hope. Before you go to bed tonight remember please pray for Jerry Seinfeld to be cast as Dracula. If not him then at least Jon Lovitz. Thank You. I'll suck yo' dick nigga give you a cookie...
Oh I think we all know who they'll cast as Alucard..just to satisfy the..female fanbase..as well as horny goth girls everywhere..Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
I'd say we should send it to hell where it belongs, but it would like that, and we certainly don't want it to enjoy itself, now would we?
