Original char by DGO "cvs2 Robert Garcia"

Voice from kof 2002 (same of 96-97-98-99-2000-2001)
If you want the voice of original char by DGO, patch with his .snd file.

New move: Kyokugen ryu renbu Kyaku = F - DF - D - DB - B + kick







Updates (3/17/2013)

-now with two different style portraits CAPCOM and SNK
-fixed weird looking F+HP slam
-fixed misaligned hitspark for F+HK throw
-improved clsn mapping
-arrows in the groove select
-improved animations of medium crouch kick

 and the same updates as DGO

√ fixed cheap k.o. bug
X deleted old Ryo's AI-------no, because without it is very bad
√ changed K.O. sound
√ fixed missing sprite in taunt animation
√ fixed F+MK problem
√ fixed lifebar portrait without transparence
√ fixed geneikyaku small hitbox
√ fixed misaligned hit sparks
√ fixed misaligned counter hit sparks
√ fixed P throw, p2 reaction
√ fixed damage in P and K throw
√ fixed damage in crouching HP

Finally. Robert really looks AND plays, like he really would have been in CvS2, save for the voice.
If you would have kept the original voice, then it would have been perfect.

I apologize about my stupidity from earlier, these sprites do Robert so much more justice in a CvS2 conversion ... can't wait to play around with him when I get home, is he based of the latest update of DGO's Robert so the taunt glitch and what not is gone?

Good job, really ; thanks.

Just a little feedback ;  I prefer Dgo's effects when he launches his ryu geki ken, they are more adapted and beautiful than those input. And last thing : his small portrait and big portrait are ugly (sorry), using kof13 portraits could be cool.

So you used dampir's sff? Not bad for the hitsparks conversion but the ratio of robert still kof-ish  (IMAO)

This Robert suffers from all the same problems DGO's default version does. Also has the bugs still there from DGO's initial release. Weird looking F+HP slam, misaligned hitspark for F+HK throw, subpar clsn mapping, etc. I do like the spriteswap/voice change though... Save for that one hitsound where it sounds like a screaming monkey or an elephant's cry or something... Where did you get that sound? More importantly, is that an actual hurt sound from one of his games he's appeared in? I doubt it, because I've never heard that in any incarnation of Robert. IDK if you were trying to be funny or what, but you should really replace that. I'd also suggest taking the extra step to fix the things that's needed to be fixed up for this char. He's ok, but he could be better.

i agree with most of C-VirusWolf says.....i saw the first release of this char and i was like... i got to retouch this; and then i was errrr nbgc graphics i'll pass

..now when this one was released i got in mind(holy sh*t) i got to retouch this one ..... -___- and then again not....


crossed in my mind to retouch the one i got...but if this one get better maybe i chance my mind you should just fix the things listed around i also see some animations a litle weird like the medium crouch kick....and i know for a cvs char it is not needed to have all of the moves but i think you are missing some of them....just a recomendation why not using the diffferent fireball animations one set for weak fireball...medium fireball....and hard fireball as well( chek jesuzilla's cvsandy for an example) well good luck keep working on  this one ,and you will get a retouch for it....

Sorry, what happens is that I started working with the first char verición of DGO and although I was correcting errors that I found, I did not see everyone, would appreciate mention me all others mistakes that I've missed, to correct before upload another update.

Oh man that's a great idea God Ryu, cause Shinkiro did the SNK groove artwork in CVS2 after all.  Definitely should use one of those, it would look great.
