The balance of the sprite is off.  In that sort of a stance his right(artist's left) arm should be more to the left. Cammy or Jill's stance in MVC2 might be good references.  You also need some heavier contrast on the oranges and the darkest shade of orange should be more of a dark brown color.  And because I can, I'm going to suggest adding in some light aliasing on his upper body.  It looks like it has unfinished shading.

Blame Seanalty.
All of those issues(other than the orange one) pertain to the actual base sprite.

Nonetheless, I'll see what I can do.
Regardless of the base, improve it, practice, get better and better and better.  Simple as that.  Making the sprite look better overall shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Still not really seeing the issue with the arm though.
If anything I'd move the left arm (artist's right) farther to the left.

Changing the stance would require me to use a different base sprite, which is probably not going to happen.
Besides, being a FPS, why would he have such a stiff/straight stance? He would usually have a gun pointed at something.

I did notice the hair, so I'll try to fix it.
Not really sure what to do to the glasses, not seeing the 'robin' mask, but I'll see what I can do.
Not much experience with beards, I'll try to fix it.
I can't darken the upper body, or the arms become invisible, so I guess I'll have to lighten the bottom.
Not sure what you mean by solid, but I'll try darker outlines on the armor.

Well, the stance was just an example, also it's based on this..


The lower Armour doesn't look like it would protect him against anything.
It looks more like pants.

I'll post the image just so I don't have to keep flipping pages.

I'll see what I can do about the lower armor.
Maybe adding that little design on the side will help.
I'll also try darkening it.


That stance looks more applicable if we were doing a side scroller or adventure game.
Just walking, no real sense of urgency, not focusing on an enemy.
Just seems a little casual in a fighting game setting.

Just my opinion.

My suggestion is to steel some glasses from another sprite. There isn't many to choose from right now only Oswald comes to mind.

Also he has orange on one of his arms.

sorry if i sounded harsh, hostile, rude, wathever, in my "critics" or "suggestions" on how gordon freeman should look like, i had a bad day the one i post my opinion, im sorry. for sure.

it´s just i have to deal with heavy problems that makes my life hard to be normal, even on the internet, sorry. well that´s why im usually considered a troll, io have to deal with problems the normal people don´t care and don´t understand a shit about, and that´s hard, but i am getting better on accepting people´s careless attitude towards me, just let me accept it...

I was a little on edge myself.
And I do agree that an original Freeman would be outstanding.
(Making a hand-drawn Freeman has actually been a dream of mine.)
I am a little low on time at the moment.
Maybe if I can find some time in the future.
