A gentle giant. Once he gets angry, he cannot be stopped! He has the greatest strength of all.

Standards
Target Combo
-x, x, x, y

-Stomach Punch, 2nd Stomach Punch, Wild Swing, Jawing Upper
(Range on the first stomach punch isn't impressive, but this combo's overall damage is one to be respected)

Extra JOY
-x+a -OR- y+a

-Haymaker

Dodge Maneuver
-x+b -OR- y+b

-Retreat
(Acts as back dash which can not be hit by low attacks or Grapple attempts)

Run
-FF

Running Jump
-U -OR- UF (whilst running)
(Incredible speed but low Y axis range)

Peak Jump Attack
-x -OR- y (at the peak of a jump)
(Acts as a dive kick capable of crossing up the opponent. Great speed but will be easily punishable on whiff)

Specials
Back Splash

-D, U, x -Or- y
(Same characteristics as a shoryuken, however priority isn't a strength. Can be used to build pressure, if contact is late, or as a standard combo lengthener)

Back Splash JOY
-D, U, x+y
(Tracks opponent and has better priority in comparison to Back Splash. Can also hit downed opponents if timed correctly)

Super JOYs
Super JOY1 - Bomb Drop Combination
-D, DF, F, D, DF, F, x -Or- y

~Mess flies into the air ready to catch any airborne opponent in his trajectory. If contact is made, Mess transfers into a back drop. After slamming the opponent to the ground, he picks them up for 2 more fast shoulder throws.
(This Super JOY will inevitably catch most airborne opponents, however it can be intercepted by certain air attacks or even air-type Super JOYs.
Can be combo'd into via Extra JOY cancel or in the corner after 3 successful grapple attracks)

Super JOY2 - Savage Back Breaker
-DB, D, DF, F, UF, x -Or- y

~Mess delivers 2 Wild Swings and 2 Jawing Uppers. The last Jawing Upper sends the opponent into the air where Mess launches himself into the air for the catch. Once caught, Mess delivers a devastating back breaker once he hits the ground and throws the enemy of his shoulders.
(Super JOY2 possesses invincible start up frames and impressive priority. Although the super is not safe on block, it's a great super to wake up with.
Can be combo'd into via Extra JOY cancel or a hit confirm)

Gameplay
Overall, Mess will be a character focused on rush down gameplay and delivering damaging throws. His footsie game is far from strong but once he gets in he's a force to be reckoned with.

Progress

One of the few characters from the Capcom Classics Clash WIP which will be released to the public.
Mess is pretty much faithful to the original game - Frame data, hit pauses, sprites, sounds, basic move characteristics and etc.
A detailed read me has been compiled to explain the Capcom Classic Clash gameplay.

Not the best quality or frame rate but it's the best way of showing the type of gameplay I will be implementing in these characters!
Fundamentally, Mess is complate! Only damage values and balancing needs to be worked upon.

-I've amended some general velocities and characteristics of moves making Mess more accurate to his Cadillacs & Dinosaurs rendition.
-Mess' Desperation JOY has been coded. It involves Mess summoning the notorious Cadillac via radio and driving it straight towards the opponent.
 The move can be delayed for a total of 40 ticks by holding the attack button.
-A few more palettes have been created.

10/08/2014

-Amended various moves to be even more accurate (e.g. hit number dependent on range).
-Added the after death intro from the original game.
-P1 and P2 icons coded.
-Afterimage has been updated, something more original.
-Flashes inspired by Final Fight 3 have been added to Super JOYs and Desperation JOY.
-New small portrait
-Win quotes and win portrait.
-Music cutting off after a Super K.O.
-Etc etc etc.

Thank you! I have yet to visualize any ideas, I'll most likely be requesting some help on here soon for stuff like that; Screenpacks/lifebars have never been my forte. But it's definitely going to be following the retro aspect of the full game.

One thing I am sure of is the character portraits. All character portraits will be edited into Final Fight 3 style.
Previously Warner chipped in on 1 or 2 portraits. I might try to get back in contact with him to see if he can help with some sprite work when it comes to portraits, and maybe even some screen pack ideas when the time comes... That's if he's active, it's been 4 years since then.

I think the only H-Character I ever got was that Black Raiya edit and she had a super that forced the foe to suck her cock while classical music played.

The lifebar Ryon created for us? If so then I'd appreciate you sending them over because I've lost all my old material other than the few characters you sent me recently.

Also, for everyone who's interested in testing, I should be releasing a beta of Mess either at the end of this week or the start of next week.

Thanks, I tampered with it a little to give it a more comic book feel and will be using it on the character.


Also I updated the palette section on the first post with the current ones. Mess needs 2 more for anyone who wants to create some or drop ideas.
