I think it was a spongebob reference a sponge living in a pinneapple under the sea with a star as neighbour.

And dont worry, when i get my hands on it , it will have plenty of sheep clouds, flying sheeps and the worst predator of them all, the mighty lawyer.

Yeah, it was supposed to be Spongebob reference.

I disagree with pineapple. Nice as they are they are not a new zealand product.

Needs more sheep clouds, FAR more mountains/hills.

Swap pineapple for rugby ball, they look about the same but we only obsess pointlessly about one of them.
Yeah, rugby sounds good. So far, the only things I need to add are a kiwi bird, kiwi fruit, and a rugby ball. Not bad, I'll make them fit it to make it funny.

It seems we have a board now.

Why? I have no idea.
Oh well, I'll try to organize things here in a bit.

Anyway, yeah, organize by character, show the stages in another thread, etc. :)

EDIT : waiting for Iced to create an MS Paint icon for the project board. :)

So, now that this has a section of its own topics like this could be moved here, I guess.

Sorry for the lack of updates during the week.
Awful cramps prevented me to do any kind of work. :P

Tonight I'll be back to the old schedule. Expect some updates soon.

Question that may not be worth a thread of its own:

Are transparency effects accepted as part of the game's visual style?

Some ideas have crossed my mind for an effect or two on intros and/or supers, but I don't recall seeing transparency in anything so far - if transparency's not compliant with the project's style there could always be a workaround like blinking a sprite or something, but it would be handy to know before developing ideas further before the actual spriting.

On what type of materials? I never applied any transparency to sparks or fireballs so far, but I dunno, it could probably not be out of place on stuff like electricity

I was thinking at least some sort of light focus from above for an intro and SRW-ish portraits (maybe with menu included just to emphasize the reference) for super. Quickish stuff really - the intro light beam being transparent or not would affect how something might get drawn inside it, and the portraits idea might get scrapped or reduced to something really small near the bottom of the screen if transparency isn't an option.

I dont think it would matter, although i think the focus will probably look better as a solid yellow area.. I think its worth a try even with transparent sprites. Not like it cant be changed easily if it ends up looking odd.
I dont see a problem with it, see with bea maybe, but no problems from me.

Transparency was used in a few distinct places at the game already.

^Yeah, so far I've completed the basics such as the run, walk, bjump, fjump, sjump, stance, and hurt animations. Im still sketching the attacks cause I don't know what kind of moves I should give him (Jin Kazama-esque, duh!).

In speaking of New Zealand, when is the deadline where I should send you the parts Iced? I've been super busy since this is my year to graduate and havent had time to send you the parts or sprite.

Pokemon-esque attacks? I'll think about it. Mainly, I was thinking about making Frog Kazama a grappler since that stereotype hasn't been taken yet.
