I would imagine Anita using some of the summons from Donovan, but in a different way.

Since Anita uses somewat white magic/light energy[Or at least is something I think she is capable due to her "messianic" thing], I believe she being capable to summon wild angels in a similar fashion of how Donovan can summon wild spirits/demons. Making justice to her opposition of Donovan and maybe the whole makai race.

You could have her pushing her skirt down with the hand she uses to hold her book and have her other hand hold her hat when doing big moves. You know, ladylike things.

Also, she's not a fighter, so don't feel like limiting the summons to just special moves. Even basic punches kicks could easily be an arm/fist/leg coming out of a portal as she shields herself (though weak punches/kicks she COULD just do herself).

These are cool ideas! Her moves are pretty endless when you think about all the things she could summon.

We are definitely thinking the same way Graphicus.

update on that last one. Just need to color separate and touch up everything.

One character you might want to look into is Charlotte from Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin. When the player commands Charlotte to attack, she thrusts an open book with her left hand and arm, revealing a weapon or knight on horseback as if it were a magic pop-up book. Some sprites care of Castlevania Crypt:

There's also which could help ya.

There's a Professor X in mugen who every attack cames from his mind in a holographic way.

Every move projects a monster or angel[which could fit her more], and etc... Like he does. [If i'm not wrong, Anita has telekinesis, so she could attack like Xavier does on that version of the character]

What were you planing to use it for? This is the only version I have available, it's just a concept, it's blurry and unfinished so I would be sad to see this version used in an actual DSvsSF project. You are welcome to use it for whatever though.

Well, that's initially what it would be used for; I would love to see the final result and would be glad to showcase it as my title screen.

I want to add that I disagree that she'd not know how to fight. She may not be a martial arts master but IMO she has trained with people for this day that she will set off on her quest to find Dee. I expect that she has traveled all around the world growing up. Enjoying life. Improving the lives of all those she encounters. She's on the road to becoming humanity's savior. So I imagine a story similar to those that are destined to become such a thing. The young adventurer trope. Going from school to school. Making friends wherever she goes. Saving the day and enriching lives.

Thanks guys, I wouldn't have thought to reference those characters.

JNP those are cool. Especially the more cartoony ones. I have trouble thinking like that but it's kind of a big part of DS.

-small update, still needs touch ups and the rest of her hair animated.

Just sharing something, complementing with the JNP ideas

I imagine her using something like that I've sketched, summoning spirits ala Donovan does, but in a more less wild and more celestial fashion. :





EDIT: I would like to add that Anita would have a nice special intro with Lei-Lei, Gallon, Felicia[The good guys who likes the humanity, or at least, doens't want to harm them, like Gallon] and, maybe, Morrigan [Since I believe Anita would see some "good heart" on Morrigan, especially after her fusion with Lilith]

I wouldn't want to have her do those types of attacks. There are already 2 chars that do them in the game. Donovan and Dee. Having her do them would make her just another Donovan clone even if all her other skills are unique.

I feel she'd have her own identity. And her own way of using her powers not tied to what she did with Donovan.

Alex, I really think that’s just the head tilt and aspect ratio causing the stretch. It looks much better in the correct aspect ratio.

We did get some great kof stuff, but TFA sprites are like kof’s Version of sfiii sprites! Lol
I love their size and detail, those palettes too.
