Is that blood?

That looks more like ketchup, but yeah it's supposed to be really ugly blood effects.

I find it funny how in the last 20 years, fighting games like KOF, SF and even (Ironically) Melty Blood got rid of blood effects (Does Blazblue even have those nowadays? I should also check GG Xrd) yet weeaboo shit like this still has them lol.

Blazblue has exactly 3 instances of blood.

1.Arakune's astral heat (this one is particularly gross lol)
2.Valkenhayn's astral heat
3.Relius's astral heat on the walls

What trend?
It's not like we've had games like Queen of Hearts and EFZ since forever.

Lately, there are anime fighting games with assist/strikers that are not playable (probably started by Marvel vs. Capcom).

Is that really a trend...? What makes you think so?

Also, MC2, please put your AH2 image inside a spoiler. It slows down my PC a bit when it tries to load it.

Is it wrong from me to think the snapshots give it a vibe it could possibly be similar to MVC2? I mean, I can see Kaigen there as an assist BTW.

Also, hope they confirm Ignis later. <.<;

Not really. I'm going to guess that they're taking the Assist system from Aquapazza (since that game also has assists as well).

    Banishing Guard - 1 button input, no cost. Unable to tech throws during use. Has clash frames on startup, opponent able to continue attack. Causes zero chip damage, builds meter.
    Escape Action - Character moves forward, making them invincible to projectiles. Can be used in air. Can also be used to cancel normal attacks at no cost. When lever is pressed down during a cancel it will go into a hop.
    Variable Rush - 2 button input automatic attack mechanic. Startup has invincibility.
    Infinite Blast - Powers character up, recovers life for a few seconds. Adds a stock to meter. Can be used when being hit to blow opponent away but with effect period shortened. Can also be used to cancel attacks. Only 1 use is available per round.
    Partner Blitz - 2 assists the player can choose at the select screen. Character cancels current action when an assist is summoned. Assists remain on screen until their action is complete.

Feels really similar to Aquapazza, for what I'm looking in the video. Also, are we really going to get a super-like animation every time we summon a partner? That will end up being annoying in a game that uses them a lot.

Did you even play Aquapazza? How does this feel even similar? This has proper air combos, this is nothing like Aquapazza.
