    -ASW is publishing the arcade version, so hopefully it is bound for a good console release eventually. It was originally planned as a PC game.
    -Double jump, airdash
    -ABCD, buttons like kof, Light Punch Light Kick Heavy Punch Heavy Kick
    -Gatlings from A to B to C to D generally.
    -Has KOF rolls
    -Has a dizzy meter
    -Before each battle, you must "select your bounce", i.e. choose between the Step (dash) and Run abilities. The Step can be cancelled into (attack -> Step), thereby eliminating some recovery time, while the Run can be cancelled from (Run -> attack or High Jump), allowing a character to move in on the opponent more easily.
    -Next, you are given your choice of two Extra moves out of a total of four. Each character has two Extra special moves and two Extra Ultimate Chaos moves (Level 1 Super moves) to choose from.
    -Has EX moves
    -KOF esque ground ukemi it seems? Described as hitting roll right when you're about to touch the ground, so probably like in KOF.
    -Air teching
    -Alpha counter or a super armor attack or something?:
    Tactical Guard
    CD (requires half a stock of Chaos Gauge; can be done in the air)
    If your character absorbs an attack, he/she will automatically counterattack.
    -Guard Break Attack
    f+CD (requires one stock of Chaos Gauge)
    This move will break an opponent’s guard and can be cancelled into from normal moves.
    -EX special move
    special move motion +AC/BD (requires half a stock of Chaos Gauge)
    Not every special move has an EX version, and none of the Extra special moves does.
    -Exceed Chaos
    BC (requires three stocks of Chaos Gauge; can be cancelled into from normal and special moves)

    Upon the activation of Exceed Chaos, the Chaos Gauge begins to drain until it reaches zero. EC carries several benefits:

    1) The dizzy meter empties instantly

    2) Gradual life recovery

    3) All attacks become cancellable

    4) All moves which use Chaos Gauge consume a portion of the timer, the amount corresponding to their normal gauge cost (allowing for otherwise impossible combos, such as special move -> Chaos Cancel into Ultimate Chaos -> Chaos Shift into normal move -> Ultimate Chaos or EX special move…)

I half agree with the fact that at least it would be better if it was believable. Forcing 110lb lolis and women in high heels to be equally strong as a martial artist is kind of ugh.

Well, sorry, it;s just that's many fighting game characters are getting a bit more bizzare and way too out there.

Okay, Stereotypes wasn't the right thing to say. I mean, maybe I just preferred more believable fighters. I mean, characters like Sol Badguy, I  do like. Characters like Venom and Slayer, I don't mind. But characters like Faust and May completely turn me off.

Really, some current fighting game characters do look and fight ridculious.

All in all, Chaos Code's characters don't really do it for me.

You already have boring ass SF, Tekken, VF, and the AoF and FF characters in KoF.

At least let SOME fighting games have decent character designs.

Well yeah, but Remy, Q, Ingrid, Skullomania, and Twelve aren't in 4 and will be nostalgia cockblocked out of SFxTK as well. I'll concede Juri and Hakan however.

Tekken has, I gues Alisa, Lili, maybe Askua...Miguel I guess.

VF is customization heavy, so you can make your own good character designs, so I'll give you that.

KoF has good characters, but I said the AoF characters specifically. Although I will give you Fatal Fury because of Terry.

So yeah, there's a small collection of decent characters in any series, most of which are hated by the majority of fans, the mainstream, and the developers and get kicked out of the series and crossovers.

Plus, there's the issue of finding a character that I both like looking at, AND enjoy playing. Which gives me like, a handful spread across multiple series.

Then you have series with great characters, where I don't like the game play at all (MK).

Where is there actual proof of this?

Now that we've stated our opinions on what characters we like, how about going back to the thread, hmmm?

The game does look interesting along with all the options provided.  I'm liking how Cerberus Black and Kagari play, though if any voice is annoying it's the announcer's.  Right now, my main concern is of there being a U.S. release

I dont really hate the voice acting that much (AUCHIIIIIEEEE!) but what I hate is that this thing has what I canll the "ROTD sindrome", it's like "good" sprites with "horrible" animations, not ALL the time but they are there :( (Same with ROTD), the winposes are dull because they lack animation, atleast some mouth movement would be nice!

The chars are quite weird and I like that, Cait and Sith, I hate them alot but they are original as hell...

I just want to stop by and say that I prefer fighting games where the characters are treated related to their design. I prefer credible fighters, but I can take bitches, pimps and barbies as long as they are not presented as the strongest individuals on Earth. For example, I'm fine with Last Bronx, a game with colorful individuals fighting in the city.

I don't wanna say anything about how weird/badass the fighting game characters should be, since they actually can be weird in their own way (you'll never explain scientifically how Kyo burns flames)... I'll just say I'M TIRED of Melty Blood wannabes as well as Blazblue clones... Stylistically, this is one. Yeah, blame me if you want, I am.

Since you're the one who created that thread, you are the only one (apart from mods) that can modify the title. To do so, go to the first post, click on Modify, then go to Subject and change the name to Chaos Code. Easy as that.

There's a PS3 version coming out this year. I dunno if it's possible to rip from that.

They already announced Kudlak as playable for the console version.

Oh, you're right. Guess that means FK Digital is planning on expanding the roster even further.

Hopefully, there'll be some entirely new additions in the future.

Wasn't the game made with Fighter Maker? That could be one of the reasons... then again you can play Fighter Maker games online with the aid of certain programs, so I wouldn't know.
I've played this game A LOT at Round 1, it's extremely fun, and I have people to play offline, so that's not a huge issue for me. I would love to play online with some of my NorCal and Canadian friends though.

Edit:
I've read some rumors about how netplay will be implemented eventually... I wonder if it's true...
I mean, Wayforward promised netplay for Double Dragon Neon we're still waiting...

The game's been out for quite a bit, there's tons of match videos and even tutorials everywhere.
4 buttons, roll, command attacks, you know, kinda like KOF.


Too bad they still haven't implemented netplay, it's been nearly a year. Whatever, I'm also waiting for the GGXXAC+R update for the localized version but I'll get ASB tomorrow.

Just got this game and it's really fun. The sprites/art looks amazing and the moves are really creative. It feels like a SF/KOF hybrid. It doesn't have launchers or insane large combos. It's easy to pick up and play with a simple chain combo system.

I played in practice mode for an hour trying characters at my buddies and didn't find launchers. There are launchers? Crap... Guess I'll find out when I play in single mode and really start learning. Or watch some videos before that. And here I was excited it wasn't another Guilty Gear clone.

The launchers aren't your conventional launchers but there are loong combos, I have a Kagari stun combo that uses her wave super and a couple of semi tough links you can plink.

I know Cthylla also has some insanely long combos and dirty setups, Bravo has unavoidable resets, Vein has extremely ambiguous crossups, etc..

I was kinda assuming he wouldn't have anything else in mind to buy since with a due date of "soon" for the netcode (which I know could mean anything) that's still quite a timeframe for anything not BBCP to come out since nearly nothing is gonna come out 'til then. Game-wise in general, I mean. Well 'cept Musou Orochi 2 Ultimate.
in a short budget he might buy other games instead.
The game and its price are as budget as it gets which is why I asked. :V
Musou games are goddamn awful.

I got some news concerning Chaos Code.

They should have released it on pc before arcade port was dumped lol but i'll still buy a copy for the online play[If netcode is good]. Thats probably why theyre releasing a pc version besides the fact they need more money for the next installment of the series.

Now you have my attention. Good to see they brought online play with them too. I had fun with the arcade dump so I'll keep an eye out for this one. Just hope Arc Sys also helped with the netcode.
