Nerfing boss characters

Okay, please forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.
Basically I want to add some characters that are considered bosses into my main roster. Characters like Broly and the Alien Queen. The problem is, they're too strong to pit against normal enemies.
I know how to nerf their damage and other stats, but I have no idea how to remove their constant hyper armor. I've searched but I couldn't find a solution to this. Is there an easy way to do this without screwing up the rest of the coding? Is there somewhere I don't know about, where you can get nerfed boss characters? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Look for NotHitBy or HitOverride controllers. Hyper armors are usually coded with them.

Identify the states where the Hyper Armor is activate, and then change or disable the conditions that activate the Hyper Armor.
