dampir said, February 03, 2016, 04:20:39 amhow about this one...thanks to DelusionTrim for this edit..still need a lil of workThat looks good, but her front leg looks like it's popping out too much.
Her crewcut hair shouldn't be on the other side? Instead of spriting every single flow you could put it un the other side and just in one black color(or 2) like CVS Haomaru. IMO, it's up to you
MotorRoach said, February 06, 2016, 01:07:22 amI wouldn't make the hair entirely shadeless, though.I think a 3-shade scheme like Dan's hair in CvS/CvS2 would work, IMHO, heck even 2 colors would work. But that's up to dampir.Shao Jetstream said, February 05, 2016, 04:16:34 pmHer crewcut hair shouldn't be on the other side? Looks like you will be way so busy with scratch spriting her after you complete Cody and when you start her.
I've been testing something out with her myself. Steps:-Found a move list video-converted frames to images -cropped Laura out with a black outline -grayscaled image with outline and indexed with 5 colors(6 w/ transparency)-resized, colored over each part for separation-then saved paletteHere's a result without any cleanup:Size comparison: Don't think the result are too terrible and could be a good starting point. Could get better results with better quality video, better outline etc.

i have been testing ,capturing sfv in the training stage...actually a green training stage(a modd) and iget some usefull stuff...haven't posted anything since i am very busy with my job.....in a few days i'll have some free time to entitery show you some stuff
This was far more complicated than it had any right to be. Maybe the method is hard to apply to Necalli because he has so much detail (hair, scars, lack of contrast in palette)
Maybe, but it's awesome for working in layers. Gawd, in less of one month even spriters won't be needed. I feel like Alan Grant in Jurassic Park 1 T_T
Oh, it is indeed awesome for redrawing in layers. Pretty sure Chuchoryu will be pumping betas IN NO TIME.

If anything, I'd rip his anims during V-trigger and redraw the normal hair. He's have better contrast during V-trigger and hair wouldn't be too much of an issue.
Well actually. Wouldn't it be possible to run textmod/umod and contrast up or simplify his colors with a custom skin. Then proceed with the method that was posted above. I wish text mod worked with ps1 emulators. But that damned lack of zbuffer. I got a gaming pc a while ago but havent had a chance to set it up if somone doesnt get to it first ill try it and report. Btw necalli ' s theme is boss as hell

Take your time, and relax. Mugen is just a hobby, so have fun with it when you got time. Real life comes first my friend.
No problem, I can understand it, since life is always a priority for me.Nothing rushes you, take the time to complete important things in your life.I'm sure you'll come back to the game with great stuff after some time.
