We were expecting a new BioShock? To my knowledge, the series had reached its planned end with Infinite with some additions in the Rapture DLC, the guys behind it took offense at the online fandom's early treatment of Elizabeth and signed off from wanting to work on the series again regardless, and in more recent years they were working on remastering System Shock instead. Unless this is some new team making a new entry, then joy, I'll just expect to place it somewhere next to Halo 4.I would think either Kingdom Hearts III or Final Fantasy VII Remake would want to be the star of the Square Enix presentation, not show up in Sony's. There isn't really a rule about multiple showing of a single game across multiple presenters, it's just...odd.

Welp, aside from Yarny Chaotix and Sea of Solitude, that whole EA conference was a total waste. RIP in pepperoni, C+C Warfare Factory, Bioware, and Skate 4.
Sooo watched the EA Press Conference, I did not know that it was possible, but they murdered Command & Conquer a second time. ö.ö
Hey, they always make a small sizzle when it comes to E3, once again they didn't disappointed me. When they start to make games I care about, then I'll listen.
Not during the Xbox presentation. Never mind, responding to a deleted message.Shown off some good stuff. Thankfully that Gears reveal was a troll, and they actually showed off Gears 5, or else I can imagine people going up in arms how Gears is getting the 343 treatment now.Speaking of which, they didn't actually show a whole lot, but at least when they showed off the demo of the engine for the new Halo, it at least looked right. Not sure what they're gonna do with the story if they're just giving back Cortana, but that's a whole other discussion. The main thing that leaves me clueless is what the hell was that Jump Forces? Is Xbox getting a J-All Stars sequel taking place in New York City? What the hell?

Sign me up!Just...holy shit, Microsoft. DMCV, more Gears stuff, the return of Battletoads...y'all killed it for onceJesus, seriously, the entire chat was asking that too going on after the reveal. Why is everyone so horny for a metal cup? Not even funny as a joke. (Yes, I know how incredibly childish Twitch chat is)Kingdom Hearts III news delights me, but the sound mixing for the last trailer was kinda trash? Don't know what happened to the actual reveal trailer, but for what they actually showed, not a surprise at all but still happy for a Frozen world. Man, though, that's just depressing for Aqua, though. And I guess Larxene is actually going to be useful this time around.Thinking on Halo Infinite now, it's not named Halo 6, but it's named after the key ship that 343 has been pushing since 4. But clearly, trailer is all on a Halo ring, likely the one from the end of 5. And John's back in his old look, which while no one really liked the new look, they actually did have story reasons why it was changed, so...I don't know if this is just some spin-off or actually supposed to be 6?I haven't played it yet, but I've been interested in Life is Strange for a long time, so I'm glad it's still getting new content to get into eventually. Looks like a nice little probably-touching spin-off. And the Soulsborne in Feudal Japan game looks good. Not sure why he has mixture between Guts and Yoshimitsu's fake arm, but still cool.
Oh hey, Skyrim 2: Skyrim Harder was announced. And that's it. Just Elder Scrolls VI, it's being worked on for some unknown time in the future. Well, good to know it has started production at least.
Metal Wolf Chaos, bitch! But I'm seriously questioning the marketing team's decision to push this game using the hashtag...ugh..."MechAmericaGreatAgain".
RoySquadRocks said, June 10, 2018, 11:31:32 pmTHE BATTLETOADS ARE COMING BACK!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!I admit, I did not believe my siblings when they said yesterday that Battletoads was coming back.I really need to start listening to these conferences...
Dang!Devil May Cry 5 with Nero totally nailing Donte's design to spit all of the [DmC] haters in the very face, Hitman 2, DOOM 5 and now Battletoads... Gentlemen, have to say that's one hell of a nice E3.
Wouldn't Nero doing Donte's look but actually reasonably good be spitting in DmC's fan's faces, not the other way around? At fun as bringing back Metal Wolf Chaos is, it kinda killed any hopes for a new Armored Core, and that honestly make me sad. I'm sure MWC will be fine, but I was looking forward to going back to mech customizations. Ah well.
It was filling in that itch that fans of Armored Core was looking for, well for me anyway. It had more customization options than metal wolf but it was looked at more and it still is....

I meant news from E3 about Armored Core. Sure, it's just a small remaster, I just had some small hope that the mech game from From Software rumors that were going around were for Armored Core, not this. But you're right, it's fine, nothing to worry about.
Honestly I haven't cared about E3 that much in the last couple years. It's basically the SAME EXACT stuff we see last year, just better. Mainly just FPS, RPG, fighting games, and graphics is all they show at E3. As for Nintendo, they do whatever they want.
So a random thought just came to me thanks to Sekiro and people reacting calling it the anime version of Dark Souls just because it involves Japan; didn't we have another actual anime-designed Souls-like game shown off last E3? With the boy character wearing an oni mask? What was that called and what ever happened to it?
Ubisoft is up, and we see Beyond Good and Evil 2 and it seems to be a prequel, for we see a young pirate Jade.
We knew it was a prequel last year, but it took place thousands of years prior, and the woman showcased at the end was Jade's great-ancestor. This...is just confusing.I get there can be a time jump to shortly before the first game. And pardon if I am forgetting details, it's been a long time since playing the original, but I don't recall Jade being alien possessed before the first game, only attempted at the end of the original. Which was prevented anyways. So what's the deal here with her and the alien ship being against Pey'j, I simply don't get it. This is a weird as hell revival for sure.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is coming October. You can play as a male or a female. Plus they have the blood of Leonidas running through them.
In a conflict between Sparta and Athens, two generations after the battle of Thermopylae. Looking forward to it, and I already assume they'll make Trojan War-related DLC. I wonder why they didn't directly go for that, it's an obvious direction for AC lore (I bought Origins a while back but I still haven't opened it, no time for it yet, it still has some story related to the plot of the original trilogy, right ? They never really advertise that anymore).I mean, if Assassin's Creed and Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts aren't good enough anymore and we really need novelty and surprise always all the time because Triple A blockbusters are boring, I guess... And I'm curious about that Babylon's Fall thing but they showed next to nothing so I don't know what to expect.||V

Tsunamidusher said, June 12, 2018, 02:20:14 amAugh! No Monster Hunter World news for PC, even a release date.I was hoping for that this yearWe all know it's going to happen, when will it happen is the kicker.
Sony's holding their conference in a tent, sent up like a church, and calling attention to it. Well ok then, I guess we're just confirming the Cult of PlayStation's formation, then.
In a black hood with candelabras. I think I recall this from Eyes Wide Shut. This is the part where we should stop watching.I haven't played Last of Us yet. New game looks very Tomb Raider/Uncharted. Chat went mental with Ellie's kiss. I'm just surprised how much it didn't look like how I presumed the first game went, with fighting evil mushrooms.
Creepy church tent opening, one extremely scripted gameplay trailer for The Last of Us 2, and already a pointless intermission. Not exactly an exciting show so far, Sony.
And now they're offline. Wow.Alright, back up now, but they are kinda shooting themselves in the foot this presentation.
What is this live folk music crap they keep doing. Just show us the damn games. This is actually getting embarrassing how hard they're stalling.
Ghost of Tsushima looks real cool, despite it seeming gameplay is a simple copy and mix of Arkham games and Assassin's Creed.Would be cool if Sony wouldn't directly follow up the cool samurai game with a guitar playing banana.
I'm suddenly reminded why I couldn't watch past the first episode of Rick and Morty. Thanks, R&M game. Also oh my god, these Kingdom Hearts trailers are going to give me an aneurism. Riku Replica being back I SO called, like, years ago.
Holy shit, is KH3 getting packaged together with all the remasters?I still have no fucking idea what Death Stranding is.
And I guess that's that. Jesus, that beginning was terrible. At least they started cleaning up their act and started showing games later on. Kingdom Hearts III actually doing the remaining Pirates movies? I freaking dreamed of that after II, but thought their time had long since past. I'm so on board with that. You know, I've seen the Spyro remastered trilogy Facebook page mention how they got a presentation to show at E3. I was fully expecting it would be during Sony, to match up with Crash previously. But seeing Sony's done now, well....there is still that Nintendo rumor about being there to then also show in Smash. So....just sayin'.
Was? Nintendo still needs to show. Arguably with the biggest thing to showcase; Smash. So I know I don't have the nostalgia for Resident Evil that many others do, but doesn't Leon look....off to anyone else? Not just him being young, his face looks weird.
RIP in peace FF7 remake. That was a fucking awful start to the program, but once they got into it there was some cool shit there. Death Stranding looks confusing as fuck but still really interesting, Spider-Man was awesome, RE2 remake was gorgeous.I want to see more actual gameplay, but I'm really interested in Trover Saves the Universe. I'm totally down for a game based around that whole Rick and Morty, semi-improv style of humor.
Hey, waitaminute. I thought they were supposed to show off the MediEvil remaster this year. Well, now that sucks. That and nothing on VII Remake. Which at least I can understand that one what with KHIII being the focus but still.Death Stranding, for all its weirdness, seems to just be a walking simulator. That...seems ironically fitting. Though I'm sure there'll be some third-person gunplay somewhere in it.
About 12 hours to go until Nintendo shows their stuff. And I will be at work, unfortunately.I'll wait until I get out of work until I watch the session and comment here.
Long John Killer said, June 12, 2018, 04:31:11 amThat and nothing on VII Remake. from the nes I have watched, swaure can't hire people who want to work on vii.
I have to admit. This year E3 Nintendo wasn't good at all. They didn't even show Bayonetta 3, Yoshi and Travis strikes back.
There is a good reason why Yoshi is missing:I bet they had to delay it because Yoshi is still in prison for commiting tax fraud :^)
Assassin's Creed ; Kotaku interview confirms a bunch of stuff. There's still some heavy roots in the First Civ backstory, a modern day timeline, the fact that they just gave up presenting those aspects at E3 and the likes because reasons, there's even an in-game reason you can pick a dude or a chick (the modern day scientist's animus rip-off is incapable of differentiating if the DNA is male or female lol okay whatever) also romance options go unchanged between genders because Ancient Greece, man, do whatever and whoever !On the Tsushima demo, I got a big Zelda BotW vibe when the guy went horse riding (but less so when he started chopping off Mongol arms). I got a weird impression when he rode down to that bridge toward the forest, like the scenery was wrapping up over you like a slight fish eye effect, then zooming into the dead forest. The scenery in general takes a lot of place, at the bottom of that maple tree with the red leaves everywhere, it's kinda swallowing you. Haunting, in a cool way.
On the Tsushima section, I got a huge 'Genji' vibe. Specifically when it came to combat and traversing on that rooftop part.Visually, Tsushima is quite stunning... I would like to see more.In case anyone missed the Splatoon 2 news after the conference ended: Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion's release date was moved up to..
