How sweet of Nintendo to do one last favor for someone not long for this world.Something uplifting once in a while is good for the soul.
This week's new track is Battle! (Steven) from Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, arranged by Soshi Abe, who worked on the Breath of the Wild soundtrack. It feels like they're leaning in a much more heavy metal/hard rock direction with Ultimate's soundtrack compared to the previous game.
Surprised they didn't gone with the Sun/Moon Trainer remix from the direct. Now I want a Shiny Metagross as a hazard.

It was one of the elite Pokémon to use in a meta sense back in the day and it was well known (and hated).
This week's music is Afternoon on the Island from Tomodachi Life, arranged by Masafumi Takada.Because when you need to go hard on freaking Tomodachi Life, I guess you call in the guy from No More Heroes and God Hand.
Don't forget these:The NEW symbol on the fighters tab on the website has disappeared:https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/9kwkdg/the_new_symbol_by_the_fighters_tab_on_the/The Fighters playlist on the Japanese Smash Bros YouTube channel was updated 2 days ago:https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/9kr7hn/japanese_fighter_playlist_updated_2_days_ago/Signs apparently point to new character news within the next week (Incineroar/Ken).
let's hope this is the last smash bros related direct just before the game comes out because we only got like a couple of months left
Now why would I want to hope for that to be the last direct before the game releases? There's plenty of time for at most 3 and I wouldn't mind having all those 3.
...honestly, 3 more Directs with Smash announcements seems like overkill IMO, especially considering Sakurai said he wants to slow down announcements. So yeah, I also think that's gonna be the final Smash announcement. But hey, at least it would be a dedicated Smash Direct...hopefully...

Yes:http://www.siliconera.com/2018/09/26/sakurai-says-to-expect-the-smash-bros-ultimate-character-announcements-to-slow-down/I would imagine at most two more directs with character announcements.I can imagine at the very least we'll get the last direct with info shortly before launch.
I appreciate this slowdown in new information about Smash. It's getting quite hard to keep up with everything.
This week's music is a new arrangement of Id (Purpose) from Fire Emblem Awakening. Can't find too much about the composer, Takeshi Kuramochi, except that he did a bunch of pachislot music for Konami for a while. It's a good take on this song, though.
