yay! I'm a noob who can't even understand the character creation walkthrough tutorial! BUT I CAN AT LEAST UNDERSTAND THOSE!!! lol, I already knew how to do all that stuff before.... THOSE were common sense.... sooo... am I a lesser noob??? (pretty plz! lmao)

The Transparency can be achieved faster and easier with Zoner Photo Studio 8.All you need to do is have a background color that is not on the character and change them into PCX and its done.It can even change all sprites in few minutes(2-3)like that.

This is only that I am using and its faster and not so complicated.But good work with the tutorials.

Hello there.  For the past week, I've been using M.U.G.E.N. (and have been familiar with it for many years).  I've done characters, stages (and their music), a screenpack, and even new life bars.  Now, after all of that, I have but one question, just in a sense of confirming things.

In the Arcade Mode, when I set the order to the characters in the Select file, do I really have to go to each and every character and place an order=# beside them to have then appear?

Before I started messing with the Arcade Mode parameters, all I usually fought were Kung Fu Men.

I thank you all in advance for taking the time to view this.

Ah, alright.  Again, I thank you for the assistance.

Now all I have to do is figure out who all shall appear in the story mode itself...but that's most likely to be something that I have to figure out myself.

Kind of a late reply here but I only just joined so ;P thanks for taking the time to make those video tutorials especially the order and fight who you want videos.

If I may share an idea for a next instalement however can I suggest a video with mugens various shortcut keys? Not just f1, f2 etc but other hidden tricks as I've yet to see anywhere that lists these. I would do one myself but there's one's I can't figure out myself like how to pause the game without resizing the game window at the same time ^^;

txrocker, this is not a complaint but for some of your videos I cannot see anything do to the fact that you rendered in a huge resolution. Next time try 800x600 capturing, then the windows would be smaller and all the fonts be larger.

If anyone has a solution to this, I thank you in advance.  Some matches are usually over before the music, though, so it's not a huge issue; still I wouldn't mind knowing how others do it either.

I think I actually knowhow to do this...

Open up your system.DEF and scroll down to this:

Kind of self explanitory. But if you still dont get it, 1 means loop and 0 means no loop.

Hey TC, I've seen your vids, they were very helpful. I actually did a search on Youtube to find them. I have issues with Snagit though. The framerate is too choppy. I can't pull off any decent combos. I think it's my graphics card.

Anyways, I'm going to make a character! It's probably gonna suck, but hey, I'll try. I've been looking up tutorials the whole time. I finally found Fighter Factory.

Btw, If anyone wants to supervise, PM me PLZ. Anyhelp would be appreciated!

There are none.
Go on fighter factory's site for this.

And to make use of color 0 (the transparent one I suppose), better use photoshop or PaintShop Pro.

Let me be one to thank you for this.  I finally got my Marvel Capcom screenpack working.

Unfortunately, there are other bugs in it to kink out, but your tutorial got me farther than what I was doing on my own.

Sorry, but we aren't the ones who made fighter factory, so thay surely won't be any tutos for it here.
If you want some, it's rather the developpers of FF you should ask to.

Nevertheless, to understand somehow the use of FF, you must first understand how to code a little. Therefore, I'd advice you to read the mugen docs included in your mugen folder. ;)

Can anyone help me get this EvE screen pack working?. I've watched the tutorial and followed it step by step and keep getting these error messages

Error:Can't find file font/qoh_big.fnt

Error loading system data: data/EvE_Battle/dataO.system.def

Keep in mind I changed the main folders name because it had a space in it. I also changed the name of the folder that the system.def is in from data to dataO because there was already a data folder being opened. Am I missiing a file for the font error message?, and what about the other error.

The error is here...
Search in your EVE Screenpack files for the font named qoh_big, and place it in the font folder of your MUGEN folder.
Do as well for the other errors which may occure, and you're done.

Hey there.. I just started Mugen last night cause I never knew what to do.. I would just like to say thanks so much for your vids.. they helped me out so much.. I have looked at some other vids and they just dont explain things clear enough or they leave the camera to far and cant see what they are doing..

Thanks again for your help.. MUCH APPRECIATED of you taking your time to do this..

now all i need is a good download page to get more characters ^_^

is there a download section around on this forum.. Ive been looking but since Im new to this forum its hard to search.. Im sure I will get it soon but any help will be nice..
