In addition to all the touney hype, here are a brief number of things to expect:

  • G reveal for Street Fighter V
  • Season 2 DLC news for Tekken 7
  • Wave 2 DLC from Blazblue Cross Tag Battle + more news about future content and balance changes that will have no impact on Ruby's performance
  • Top 4 Smash Melee being all Gods
  • Cooler reveal DragonBall FighterZ
  • A brief message from Reggie promoting Smash Ultimate and likely nothing else
  • Something Marvel related.

Additionally, I miss KOF being amongst the lineup.

I'm kinda mixed about MvCI news possibility.  On one hand, it's great to see Capcom attempt to give new life but I worry if its still going to retain everything lackluster about its appearence.  At least it's kinda something.

In downer news, savior of the Smash Ultimate meta MK Leo is out with chicken pox.  Wishing him a speedy recovery.  Also wishing that we don't see 3 Bayos in Top 8, or any in GF.

In other news, Capcom Cup winner MenaRD and a few other players from East Coast might not be able to partake in EVO due to weather issues because even nature hates MenaRD's choice for Birdie's costume.


Gonna be tough to pick who will take it all in SFV.

They did pretty decent with AE in term of UI and presentation and honeslty its not like they need to do much to improve it. Sad to hear about MenaRD since he seemed pretty confident for Evo

Gouda is my hero in Cross Tag.  Been attempting to learn more about Nu/Gordeau synergy and see it on the main stage is awesome.


Surprised he didn't went with Nash for this matchup, but wow.

Had to look up that guy.  Winner of MvCI GF.   

Injustice 2 Top 8 has been intense so far.  Heartbreaking to see BigD's Ivy lose because it lead to a Starfire mirror.

But that early pop-off lol

Dang SFV is crazy so far : NL is out, Momochi lost with Kolin to FChamp's Dhalsim, GO1 and Sako are in losers. Nemo lost to RB's Zeku.

The two guys who made it into the GF played a Bayonetta ditto match, and played it like a friendly casual game.  They were just goofing around and talking to each other instead of actually playing, stalling the match by holding neutral B,  and basically treating the entire match like a joke.  It was insanely disrespectful and more than half the crowd ended up walking out in protest.

Pretty sure most of them will have move on to Ultimate. Honestly it really seemed like most people were ready to move right after Bayonneta won evo. This was just the final straw. With Wizard saying this could be Melee last year I wonder how the evo lineup will look in 2019 with DOA6 and SoulCalibur6. Same thing with Rev 2 unless it gets another update I dont see it coming back next year since compare to both dbfz and BBTAG its not doing that well. Then there Injustice 2 and if MK11 will even get announced this year

Nintendo direct confirmed in 3 days for Smash. Also damn Melee has been pretty boring so far... Seems like Ultimate could be the only smash game next year

Eh, at least this year's Melee was a bit different with Leffen v Armade for GF.  Wizzrobe v Hungrybox was match of the night for it.

Never expected a Smash direct announcement in Melee EVO.  Here's hoping Ultimate would at least pull in more nunbers than Melee and 4.

I love it when the crowd does the Cell yell and boo when the intro gets cut off.

We got a reset!!

This is an awesome set between the two, but whatever Go1 was doing after the reset didn't work in his favor.

Congrats to sonicfox but man that top8 was a wash. So many 3-0 and 2-0. Really hope the balance patch is good cuz right now the game is not that enjoyable to watch. Welp atleast SFV can finally start

Here's hoping next year they pull Melee from Evo Sunday. No reason for SF5 to end at 3AM EST IMO.

They should just have Melee end on Saturday somehow, the game's had it's run over 15+ years, time to put it out to pasture, although I know a lot of people would disagree with me.

I agree, loved that it came back on the big stage, it was just crowded with other games that kept on getting resets.

They really need to cut down atleast one game on sunday and put it on saturdays. I think Rev2, while it was hype, would have worked pretty well on sunday

Cutting a Sunday game is an absolutely awful idea.  It's just DBFZ takes fucking forever, that game needs to get sped up.

Yea, decided to end early cause it was really getting very late.  The issues with this EVO was indeed the scheduling.  At DBFZ needs like a damage buff for their Lv.3s just to speed things up.


Just caught up with SFV's games.  Dictator winning it all at long last in his Stadium, nice.
