Is the only difference the size (scale) of the images?

Version 3.0 coming... Um...  When I get to it.

Yes.

Hi-Res just means doubled size.

But it somewhat also means a lot more possibilities in general. Some details and stuff can only be reproduced in Hi-Res.

  • Three times thicker font than a normal user.
I wouldn't feel right to throw away lo-res mugen and my stages just to get newer, prettier stages.

Besides, I've seen a lot of good looking lo-res stages.

I use lo-res because Capcom stages only come in lo-res, and a lot of my favourite stages come from Capcom. Including SF3TS, SF2, etc.

I use low-res because all the stage I have converted in Mugen are for low-res.

True such as if its a small stage you can make it looked zoomed out im not sure if thats possible in low res not exactly sure, i mean small like a megaman stage but big

Like people care about having a hi-res select screen without hi-res stages . ::)

Also, apparently the newest version of that hack supports hi-res stages AND select screens.

I think the first hack had hi-res select screen and hi-res stages.

Another version came out later had hi-res select screen but low-res stages.

Ideally, we'll need a version with hi-res everything (title screen, versus screen, etc...) and a tag in select.def to scale low-res stages by 2.  I will not volunteer myself since I have no "hax0r" skills.

I care. 8)

But the scalex2 lo-res stages would be so nice indeed... but writing a new trigger for mugen seems like an impossible task.
