I'm definitely a bit late, but... this is just absolutely beautiful. Loaded up a bunch of stages with it already, now just to use those templates you included for the portraits; then, it shall be perfect. I probably won't need any more screenpacks for a while- thanks a million.
Quick question sxvector, could I post an archive link of portraits for this here for the lazy folk, or should I make a separate thread for it?

Btw, i actually had made backup system.sff's of the original's before i modified them. I had just removed some of the really heavy sprites that caused it to lag or take a long time to load/start up. It caused some issues, such as odd transitions, but massively improved the load times and got rid of lag. So if u don't like it, just rename the backup .sff's to use em.

I'm not sure if you got my message, but you are the greatest-insert subject of choice here-. And I manage to fix the directory issue. I also tried the original system.sff and it's actually a good thing I never got the original, the lag is so severe. You /really/ saved me a lot of trouble and made the SP smooth on my end, I'm really grateful for the PM.My only question now would be how to set up the stages to display a mini-preview on the select screen at the bottom? Also your organization(select.def) is admirable, especially the stage sorting. Vselect should make clean up pretty easy though, and making ports might actually be fun this time around, even if it's going to take awhile.~
