Hello,

Here's the problem:

On its - unfortunately - dead forum, Elecbyte explained the method for properly calculating max zoom out for bgs...

It's down & i can't longer find it anywhere

Even throught webarchive...

Has anyone noted it down? Or simply knows the answer?

I did see you red my replay in the OG thread,  my best advice is for you to mess around with it, I have never calculated anything and ALL my stages have the same zoom and equal bounds, if possible cause sometimes you get more accsess in one side
BUT if you want, I think this will help.

General tips

screenleft screenright should be on 25 if you go zoomout=.7 depends how big the stage is you may wanna go higher cause projectiles.

Keep the bounds EQUAL
You dont want one char to be closer to the corner then the other. If you have to edit the starting positions.

Hello,

100 % zoom out = 0
90 % zoomout =  .1
80 % zoomout = .2
70 % zoomout = .3
60 % zoomout =  .4
50% zoomout =  .5
40% zoomout = .6
30% zoomout  = .7
20% zoomout = .8
10 % zoomout  = .9

1 = stander no zoom
2 = huge closeup zoom

depend on your Images sprite and the length of sprite its self because you have to adjust it the way you want it. BUT the accurate setting for the zoomout is does have its values as well. the limit that a mugen can do is Game native width and height with the setting base on your sprite and the definition on the mugen screen
320x240: Low Standard definition
640x480 Standard definition 4:3
1280x720 High definition 720P
1920x1080 Full HD 1080P

Thanks to both of you dudes

I already read what you've written on the subject: this is very precious but not the "scientific" elecbyte's method

Honnestly, the question is answered not only for me but also for the development of a bg tool: the precision is necessary

I'm so sick about the disappear of this formula: I used it a lot of times but never thought to copy it somewhere

Shame on me...

Spoiler: the closest explanation that I've found untill now is here (click to see content)
